Icannotstressthisenough.Whenwegetinahurry,when we’re so pressured, sostressed out, so preoccupied bytheaffairsofdailylivingthatwecannot have leisure in Hispresence and in HisWord, thenwe’re in grave danger ofsuccumbing to temptation andpride.

n November 2008 we received an email from aMarcos Schirm who had found our Portuguesewebsite.Sincethatcommunicationhehasshown
adeep,abiding interest intrainingandmaterials forhis hometownof BeloHorizonte,MinasGerais state(Brazil).Here’shisfirstemail:Ivisitedyourwholesite,includingtheoneinEnglish.Ilove it and completely identifiedwith yourmission tohelppeople studyandapply theWordofGod to theirlives. I’ve been a Sunday school teacher for aboutfifteen years and this tool called “inductive study” isfantastic! In fact Precept’s inductive study method istheexpressionofmyhighestdream—whatIhadbeenlookingfortoworkwithmywholelife.I want to become involved with every level of thisministrytoleadpeopletoclearunderstandingofGod’sWord.With each subsequent email we saw the Lorddevelopinghimandraisinghisinterest:God has done a great restoration and reorganizationofmylife—atsunamiofpreparationtoservePrecept.
After you trained me and my dream started takingshape, I prayed that He would make me worthy toteachPrecept’scourses.After some more training Marcos became ourregional leader, serving with his wife Késsia.Supportedbyhispastor,his40MclassLivingaLifeofTrueWorship is thriving. Students see the inductivemethod as innovative and exactly what they need.TheirperspectiveontrueworshipandtheirworshipitselfarebothdeepeningThe class has learned that praise and worship aretwo of Satan’s prime targets, so it’s important toapply this perspective to their lives every day. Thestudyhasmotivatedandencouragedthemtoachievethishighlevelofwhole‐heartedworship.Beforethisstudy many of them did not attend Sunday school,butnowtheyseethevalueofregularlyparticipatinginasystematic inductivestudyof thewholecounselofGod.Thisclasswillbethelaunchingpadtoexpandto thewholeregionof theFoursquareChurch in theMinasGeraisstateofBrazil.

after studying the book “Living a Life of TrueWorship”,didIrealizetheimportanceoflivingtotallysurrenderedtoGod.IthoughtthattobeaLevitewastohaveaprominentpositionintheserviceofGodbutafter studying I understood that even someonecleaning the temple canbe aLevite. expected,theplaceswhichseemimpossible and unfruitful Hemakes them to yield evenmorefruitsforHisglory.Vanessa, a member of the Pentecostal Church ofChrist in Araras city,wanted amore in depth studywhich would challenge her students to be in theWord of God so she contact us about a year ago,boughtthe“HavingaRealRelationshipwithGod,”40minutes book, and started a classwith 15 students.Shewas so pleasedwith the results and in order toimprove their studying skills she decided to godeeperwiththePUPseriesandinvitedustobethereforthelaunchoftheclassanddoa2Peterworkshop.
According toour recommendation she setupadatebefore the workshop for the initial markings of thetext, and what at first would be just for the 15studentsalreadyenrolled toher surprisemore than40peopleshowedupforthisfirstclassincludingthepastor who was so impressed that he asked theleadershipof the satellites churches to come for thedateestablishedfortheworkshop.Thedayoftheworkshoptheenemytriedtoscareusoff as we could not find the church where theworkshopwouldtakeplacebutamazinglyinthelastminute we found a person who gave an exactlydirection andwe arrived on time to findmore than50 peoplewaitingwith enthusiasm to learn how tostudytheirBibleinductively.Godblessedimmenselyand the pastor and other leaders already extendedthe opportunity to the teenagers’ class with 50students they will be using the 40 Minutes Study:“HowtoMakeChoices.“

here are severalways you can increase the learning of the children as they go through the book and following is awonderfulexampletoenhancetheirabilitiestoexpressthemselvesandalsotheopportunitytoseehowdoesanarticleisbuiltupforamagazine.Theprocessstimulatesthemalsotodobetternexttimeinordertoparticipateandhelpsthe
teachertoseetheirmainneedsandareasofimprovement.Below,oursouthernregioncoordinator,Milton,givesdetailsaboutthisnewsletterprojectwhichheimplemented.“Thenameofthisnewslettercamefromadrawingbyoneofourstudents.ThestudentsrespondedtolettersfromothersneedingadvicebyusingthebookofJames.Theywroteanddrewouttheproblemsasamannerofclarifyingtheproblemtothereaders.Theproblemstheyreceivedwererealorimaginary,butalloftheonesincludedinthisnewsletterarerealproblems brought by the students. Many of the problems were not included because they were resolved during theexecution of this project and others were left out from print to protect those involved in the dilemmas. There twoproblemschosenwerethemostfrequentlycited(drugsandviolence).Becauseofthequantityofletterscollectedduringaschool‐year, it is impossibleto includethemallwithoutraisingthecostofproduction.Theformat isamagazineformatwherethereareeditors,readerresponsesandillustrations.Thepaperusedinprintingwashighquality,tomotivatethestudentstoproducebetterwritingandillustrationsforthefollowingeditions.Youcansolicitthestudentstokeeptheirwritingtoaminimuminordertogainspaceandreducethesizeofthemagazine,butalwaysaskthemtomaintaingoodqualitywriting to elevate the quality of themagazine. In the classroom, the focuswas, be itwritten or drawn, askingquestionsfromthebookof James,theadvice, thesolutionandbasicquestions.Wefollowedthesequencingofthebook“Boy,HaveIgotProblems,”havingitasaconstantguideline.
