Now in its third year, the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic is the climax of the world’s greatest festival of cycling.

The race is the biggest one-day Classic ever staged in the UK and achieved 1.HC UCI European Tour status after only one year. Created to celebrate the legacy of the 2012 Olympic Games, the 200km route is over classic-style rolling terrain featuring five punchy climbs and passes iconic landmarks including Hampton Court, Box Hill, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, Trafalgar

Square and finishing on The Mall in front of Buckingham Palace.

The race includes four Sprints and five King of the Mountain competitions.

Covered live by BBC TV in a 4½ hour programme in the UK, the coverage is broadcast in more than 160 countries. In 2014, the race was seen by a cumulative audience of 7.3 million with a total of 73 hours of coverage. Hundreds of thousands of spectators line the route to cheer on the riders.
