Splendor in the Grass, Kitsch Wines Vintage Celebration; Sat July 14, 2018, 6-10pm; 1000 attendees (850 guests, 150 staff/service) Local food purveyors/food trucks Wine service via BCLDB special event permit (won't be issued until ALC approval) Areas used are not being farmed, all attendees are kept on hard surface/landscaped areas

3. Could this proposal be accommodated on lands outside of the ALR? Please justify why theproposal cannot be carried out on lands outside the ALR.Enjoying the wine amongst the source vineyards is essential - the vintage celebration experience wouldn'tmake sense anywhere else and would disconnect from the terroir we are celebrating.

4. Does the proposal support agriculture in the short or long term? Please explain.Yes to both. Short term it promotes agriculture and supports BC Wines. Long term the same. It alsoexamples entrepreneurship and next generation farming, making a strong connection with this youngerdemographic. It supports agricultural workers through viable business where their jobs are kept and grown.
