Regeneration Providing more than just new homes … We will provide a new corner shop opposite Latimer Road tube station. This will be a convenience store provid- ing the community with a much-needed facility. We will create a new mews connecting Latimer Road Sta- tion and Freston Road. We will work with TfL to bring the arches into use to cre- ate space for new business to come into the area and create employment opportunities We will provide space within the new development facing onto Freston Road that can accommodate a range of com- munity uses. An initial proposal is to find groups who work in the field of training and employment, who could occupy the space and also manage the arches as start up units for new enterprises. A public artwork will form part of the development – this could be associated with the new mews and relate to the history of the area. We would like to work with local residents to develop these initial ideas to ensure that the regenerative potential of the development’s maximised.
