State-of-the-art mammography...coming to your neighborhood!
No matter where you live—city, suburbs, or small town—Western New York women now have convenient access to breast cancer care.
The mobile mammography unit is coming soon to a neighborhood near you. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in women, and one of the most treatable, when detected early. Mammograms—X-rays of the breast—are the most effective screening procedure to detect the warning signs of breast cancer. This mammogram program helps women and doctors detect breast cancer earlier, and has already brought life-saving breast treatment to many of our patients.

The breast health mobile clinic is equipped with two state-of-the-art, full-field digital mammography systems. This advanced technology is fast, accurate, and provides exceptional image quality. Two certified mammography technologists are available to conduct your mammogram procedure and your mammogram will be read by a board certified radiologist specializing in women’s imaging. Dr. Vivian L. Lindfield, an American Board-Certified Surgeon, specializing in the treatment of breast disease, is the clinical director of the mobile clinic and will oversee and manage the care of each patient.
A doctor’s prescription is necessary to receive a mammogram. If you don’t have a family doctor or medical insurance, Western New York Breast Health will help you through the process to make sure you are able to participate in this life-saving screening. If you need a ride, the program’s sponsors will provide transportation to the mobile mammography unit location in your neighborhood.
