This photo is my diploma that I received after graduating from Mary Ward Catholic Secondary School. A centre for self directed learning. It took me four years of learning how to prioritize and how to handle time management. It was a school where most of my friends had to leave due to the independent study curriculum and I felt very accomplished knowing that I was able to graduate from this school.

This photo is proof of being a licensed driver for officially a year now. It has taught me to become more independent towards the responsibilities that I have for myself and my family. It has taught me to stand on my own and to stop depending on my parents to be there every step of the way. Gaining a license helped me to become a more self-reliant woman.

This picture shows my first ever job as a cashier at metro. It helped me become more social towards new people. It taught me to think on my feet and how to handle the various situations that occur during my shifts. It has given me experience in the work life and made me become less reliant on my parents. It taught me the lessons about money on how to spend wisely because money does not grow from trees.

The medals in this photo show my achievements that I accomplished in high school. The medals represent the dance competitions that my dance team participated in. It is a huge accomplishment during my days in high school because it taught me how to work well in a team, contribute my own ideas and become a better person in general. Dancing with my high school team has taught me to become a better person, to be a team player, and to stay humble in everything that I do.

This ribbon is an accomplishment I achieved in elementary school. As an active student, I had managed to win first place in my schools cross country running club. Being a small girl, no one had expected me to win first place. This was the first time that I believed in the saying that big things come in small packages. I was able to achieve something greater than I ever thought I would which made me extremely proud of what I accomplished. This ribbon exemplifies a proud milestone in my life that I will never forget.
