Context
• In the wake of Israel's war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, a pro-Israeli organization known as Americans Against Terrorism held a rally in support of Israel on the west steps of the Colorado State Capitol Building in Denver. The theme of the rally was "Support Israel's right to self-defense against Gaza." According to Americans Against Terrorism, they are conducting the rally to counter recent protests in support of Hamas. They also wish to call attention to national and world leaders. The initial call for the rally was endorsed by churches and synagogues. The event took place on 01/11/09 in the afternoon.
