    1 . Measure the computers width.See Figu re 12 . Measure the computers depth See Figur e 2 3 . Computer width = 13 inches4 . Computer depth = 1 inches5 . Use the following formula to get the exact amount of fabric

    needed:

    Depth x 2 (1 1/2 x 2 = 3) + Width = 3 + 13 = 16

    For a 13 wide computer, with 1 inch depth, you would cut

    16.

    6 . Write this measurement down.7 . Measure the height of the computer. Double this number and

    double the depth to get the length for your fabric. For a 9.5

    inch computer. you would multiply by 2 then add 3 inches forthe depth. (9.5 x2)+3=22.

    8 . Cut the Ultra Suede to those dimensions. 16 x 22 for theabove computer.

    Hoop medium tear away stabilizer, lightly spray with sprayadhesive.

    1 0 . Mark the center of the Upholstery fabric from the sides, andmeasure down 6 inches from the top. This is your center

    mark.

    1 1 . Lay the Upholstery fabric on top of the spray adhesive in thecenter of the hoop. You will need to have the fabric aligned

    so that the excess fabric faces the inside of the hoop area.See Figu re 4

    Note : Raw edge of fabric will face the hoop clamp.

    1 2 . Select Embroidery Edit Screen.

    1 3 . Select

    1 4 . Select1 5 . From row 2, select the 5th embroidery pattern and click Set.

    1 7 . Select

    1 8 . Select or select monogram letters of yourchoice.

    1 9 . Select the first initial in your monogram and choose Set.See Figu re 6

    2 0 .Select Rotate2 1 .Choose Rotate 90 right2 2 .Select Close.

    2 4 .Select reduce on all sides button and reduce the letterby 2 Selectes. See Figu re 7

    2 5 .Select the up arrow to move the letter toward the top.

    2 6 .Select Add2 7 .Select on the second initial in your monogram and choose

    Set.

    2 8 .Select Rotate2 9 . Choose Rotate 90 right3 0 .Select Close.

    3 2 .Select enlarge on all sides button . Enlarge until it willnot get bigger. See Figu re 8

    3 3 .Select Close.

    3 4 .Select Add3 5 .Select on the last initial in your monogram and choose Set.

    3 6 .Select Rotate3 7 .Choose Rotate 90 right3 8 .Select Close.3 9 .Select the Down arrow until the letter is pleasing to the eye.

    4 0 .Select Sewing4 1 .Select the Basting Stitch button4 2 .Insert the hoop into the machine.4 3 .Float the batting under the hoop and place the excess inthe center of the bed area4 4 .Roll the excess fabric and batting in the center of the bed

    4 5 .Select the Rotate button

    4 6 .Choose Rotate 90 right to orient the design towardthe majority of the fabric. See F igure 1 1

    4 7 .Embroider the design using Brother Metallic Threads.The pictured bag used Pink, Blue and Mint Green Metallic

    Thread.

    4 8 .Once the embroidery is complete remove from the hoop.4 9 .Select the Home button

    5 0 .Change the mode to Sewing.5 1 .Choose the Q -02 on the Quilting Stitch menu. This is the inch seam.See F igure 12 5 2 .Replace the embroidery foot with the Open Toe Walking

    foot on the machine.

    5 3 .Place a denim 100/16 needle into the machine.5 4 .Fold the fabric right sides together on the front piece to

    form a pouch. See Figure 1 3

    5 5 .Sew up the side seams on the front piece with seam.Press seams open.

    5 6 .Fold the lining fabric right sides together to form a pouchas in direction 49. Stitch up the sides with seam.

    Leave an opening of about 5 on one side to allow you toturn the project. Press seams open.

    5 7 .On both side seams of the lining, fold the corners of thebag at the bottom flat open. Mark an inch up and stitch

    on both sides of the lining. Trim to about inch.

    5 8 .Repeat for the outside of the bag.

    Di rec t ions fo r Bag Flap

    1 . From the extra fabric, cut a piece of fabric that is 1smaller than the width of the sewn pieces with a depth

    of 9. Ex: If opening is 13 inches you would cut apiece of fabric 12 by 9.

    2 . Fold this piece in half widthwise. Put a piece ofbatting the same size on one half of this piece.

    3 . Sew sides together with inch seam. Flip and Press.4 . Topstitch the flap.5 . Insert the lining inside the front of the bag piece.

    6 . On the back side of the bag (no embroidery) insert theflap face down between the bag front and the lining.

    Match the side seams Pin and stitch around the top ofthe bag with a seam. See Figure 1 5

    7 . Turn the bag press the seams.8 . Tuck the lining into the center of the bag and topstitch

    if desired.

    9 . Attach Velcro dots to the flap and the front of the bagfor easy closure.
