PREFACE The Architecture Colleges Management Association [ACMA] represents 25 Architecture Colleges in Kerala. These colleges have come into existence as per the approval of Council of Architecture. The aim of ACMA is to pave path for the aspiring students to obtain admission to B Arch course in their home state, purely on the basis of merit.Till 2018-19 ACMA had signed agreement with the government sharing the seats. In the academic year 2019-20 we wish to execute the agreement with government. We are waiting for the same.The colleges will start the classes by August 1st 2018. Before the same, the admission will be completed. The admission will be made as per this prospectus.ACMA would like to make it clear on behalf of our member colleges that, Mobile phone is totally banned in the colleges and Hostels. Any student found violating this will be removed from the hostel /college. So only such students willing to follow the norms of the college shall take admission in the member colleges.


The responsibility of ACMA is restricted to the submission of this prospectus to the Admission Supervisory Committee (ASC). The conditions of this prospectus on approval from ASC will be incor-porated by the members in their individual college’s prospectus.

I. INTRODUCTIONi. The Architecture Colleges Management Association [ ACMA] has decided to conduct a separate selection procedure for admission to the B. Arch Course in the member colleges except for NRI seats and seats that may be set apart for allotment by the state (In Case of Agreement with Government).

ii. Theself-financingcollegeslistedinthisprospectusconduct5yearsdegreecourseinArchitecture(B.Arch)asperthesyllabusofthedifferentUniversitiesinKeralatowhichthecollegeisaffiliated.

iii. Thisprospectusissubjecttomodification,additionordeletionasmaybedeemednecessarybytheAssociation and subject to the Judgments of Honourable Courts of law.

iv. TheprospectuscontainstherulesandregulationsapplicabletotheseatstobefilledbytheManag ements of the Self-Financing Architecture Colleges to the B. Arch Course for the year 2019-2020 for the colleges whose names are mentioned in the list.v. The fee structure shown in the prospectus is as per the agreement with the government for academic year 2018-19. This is subject to change.

vi. Each college will have its own policies of reservation if any.

II. COLLEGES AND NUMBER OF SEATSi. The Details of member of colleges to which application is called for by this prospectus are given in the Annexure - I

ii. The maximum number of seats in each college is as per the sanction obtained by each college from the Council of Architecture / Universities.

iii. The Government and the respective managements are in the process of negotiation for seat sharing. Theunderstanding till 2018-19 is that themanagementsmaypermit thegovernment tofillup50%ofseats.Hencethisprospectusisfortakingofthebalance50%seatsinB.ArchCoursefilledbythe concernedmanagements. In case no agreement is arrived at, the member collegeswill fill up the entire seats. In this case the fee fixed for Management Quota will be applicable for the entire seats.SeatsthatmayremainunfilledbytheGovernmentalsowillbefilledbythecollegesconcernedand here too the fee for Management seats will be applicable.

III. ADMISSION Course : Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch)


i) DURATION OF COURSE 5 years consisting of 10 Semesters including practical training and thesis. 1st and 2nd semesters shall be combined. (Non vacassional)

ii) CRITERIA OF ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSIONAdmission is offered only to eligible candidates as per prevailing University norms and C.O.A. norms a) Candidate must be a citizen of India b) Candidates who have passed an examination at the end of the 10 +2 scheme of examination with at least50%marksinPhysics,Chemistry&Mathematicsandalsoatleast50%marksinaggregateofthe10 +2 level examination or passed 10 +3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory sub-jectwithatleast50%marksinaggregate.” In addition, candidates will have to pass in the NATA ( National Aptitude test in Architecture)/JEE Reserved category (SC/ST/SEBC) candidates should also have to pass in NATA / JEE as per guidelines ofCouncilofArchitecture.(Themembercollegeswillhavetherighttofixhighermarkcriteriaforad-mission to Management seats for promoting higher standards in the college) c). Age: Applicant should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2018. No relaxation of age will be allowed. CopyofrelevantpageofschoolrecordnamelySSLC/CBSE/ICSEcertificateshowingthedateofbirth/copyofthebirthcertificatefromappropriateauthorityshouldbefurnishedalongwiththeapplicationattestedbyGazettedOfficer/HeadoftheInstitutionwherethestudenthadstudied.

IV. HOW TO APPLY The candidates shall apply online for B. Arch course. The link for making online application is available in the respective page of the member colleges of ACMA in the prospectus. All the candidates shallfillallrequiredcolumnincludingthecolumnforDDnumberandapplicationfee.

The application after online submission shall be printed and submitted to respective college with DD for Rs. 1000/- (Rupees Thousand only) along with necessary documents to the concerned college. The DD shall be taken in favour of Architecture Colleges Management Association payable at Ramanat-tukara, Calicut.Note:1. Online application form will be considered only if the hard copy is submitted to the respective col-lege,withrequiredfee.2. Application forms along with validDD of Rs.1000/- in favour of ACMA payable at Ramanattukara, Calicut, will only be considered.3. Incomplete or delayed application form will not be accepted.4. The last date for submitting online application is 10th June 2019. The hard copy of application form along with DD should reach the concerned college on or before 15th June 2019.Application form submitted(Online/Hard copy) to the colleges after the above mentioned cutoff date will not be considered by the member colleges of ACMA.

b). Submission of Application Form Hard copy of the application submitted online along with attested copies of necessary documents shall be submitted directly or by registered post with A/D to the respective colleges so as to reach there on or before the prescribed date, with a DD of Rs. 1000/- take in the name of ACMA payable at Ra-manattukara.


Applicationssubmittedtothecollegesshouldbecompleteinallrespects.Thecandidateshouldfillin all items in the application form.Application not accompanied by documents in proof of claims made therein and DD will be summarily rejected without further intimation no opportunity will be given to incorporate any details or document after the submission of the application. Late and incomplete applications will be rejected.

C). List of copies of following certificate / documents attested by Gazetted Officer / Head of the Institution where the student had studied to be submitted with the application.

Candidates should enclose a self addressed envelope (25x12 cm size) with Indian postage stamp/ stampssufficientforsendingtheSelectionMemobyRegisteredpostwithsetofapplicationform.

Note: i. Application without DD for Rs. 1000/- will be rejected.ii. Applications received late will not be accepted. iii. Incomplete applications will be rejected. iv. Candidatesshouldnotencloseanyoriginalcertificatealongwiththeapplication.

V. RANK LIST AND SELECTION PROCEDURE : 1. RanklistforadmissiontoB.ArchCoursewillbepreparedbygivingequalweightagetothescoreobtained in the ‘National Aptitude Test in Architecture’ (NATA)/ JEE and to the marks/grades obtained intheQualifyingExaminationbythecandidate(AsperguidelinesoftheCouncilofArchitecture,In-dia). Marks obtained by the candidate in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) out of 200 /JEEwillbeaddedtothetotalmarks/*gradessecuredbythecandidateintheQualifyingExaminationcomputed out of 200. The Rank list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained out of 400, computedasabove(*IfgradesareawardedtocandidatesintheirQualifyingExamination,itwillbeconvertedtoequivalentmarksforthispurpose).

2. Candidates to be considered for inclusion in the rank list for allotment to B. Arch course in all member colleges have to appear for ‘NATA’ /JEE and secure minimum score as prescribed by COA.

3. Admission will be made by individual college based on the applications received in the college. The rank list will be prepared and published on the notice board of each member college.

4. In the case of a tie in the total marks, the marks in NATA / JEE examination will be counted. If there is still a tie, the marks in Maths will be counted. If a tie still exists, the age of the candidate will be taken into account, the elder preferred to the younger. If a tie again exists, the alphabetical ascending order of the name of the candidates in English will be taken in to account.


5. Furnishing false information /particulars would result in the forfeiture of the candidature as well as cancellation of admission to the course, and in addition, will attract the relevant provisions of criminal law of the land.

6. SeatslyingvacantafterthedatefixedforthecompletionofadmissionwillbetreatedaslapsedseatsandcanbefilledupbytherespectiveCollegesfromamongtheapplicationreceivedfromtheeligible candidates.

VI. ADMISSION PROCEDUREi. Originalsofallcertificates/documentsenclosedwiththeapplicationshouldbesubmittedatthe time of admission to the respective Colleges. ii. The candidate shall pay full fees at the time of admission. iii. Physicalfitnesscertificate,conductcertificateandtransfercertificateoriginalsshouldbesubmitted at the time of admission to the respective colleges.iv. TheresponsibilityoftheAssociationislimitedtotheissuingofnotificationsandpublishingpro spectus.

VII. RAGGING IS PROHIBITED Raggingoranytypeofnefariousmisconductthatjeopardizethetranquileducationalclimateinthe college campus or outside will be deemed a noxious menace and attend to with severe punitive measures. Ragging means “ any conduct whether by words, spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness or otherwise any student, indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or junior student or asking the students to do any act or perform something which a student will not do in the ordinary course and which has the effect ofcausingorgeneratingasenseofshameorembarrassmentsoastoadverselyaffectthephysiqueor moraleofa freshor juniorstudent”.The incidentof raggingwillbestrictlydealtasperprevailingCOA/ Government/University stipulations.

VIII. FEE STRUCTURE The Annual tuition fees now existing in all the member colleges for B. Arch is as below per annum for Five years. The association has proposed for a different fees ( uniform fees for all stude nts irrespective of government or management quota) to the Government inorder to complywith the direction of the honbl Supreme Court and to cope with the increase in the expences. In case the Fee Regulatory Committee decides on any lower fee the matter will be taken up before the Honourable High Court and the ultimate fee will be as per the directions of the Honourable Court of law. If the fee collected is in excess and any such directions, the same will be refunded or adjusted towards future fees.Selected candidates shall take admission at the scheduled time and date in the College after paying the tuition fee and other fees failing which the admission will be cancelled. The fee will be as per the agreement executed with Govt. by the Association and the Govt Order in this regard will be applicable. The total fee to be paid is as follows. (Kindly note that the fee mentioned below is as per the GO in 2018-19 and the fee for 2018-19 is subject to change)


***Annual Fee for each Academic year Institution fee, University fee, Uniform charge, ID card Charge, Insurance, Internet Charges, Locker Fee, Extracurricular fee, Sp.Facility Fee, Admission Fee , PTA Fee, Statutory Body Fee, Magazine & College day fee etc. will also be charged extra at the time of admission .

Above Tuition fee is as per G.o (Ms) No.158 / 2019 /H.Edn. dt. 11-06-2019. The tuition fees and special fee shall be paid every year on the 1st working day of June.

IX. DISCONTINUATION OF THE COURSE AND PAYMENT OF LIQUIDATED DAMAGES

Only those students who are really interested for the course shall apply and join in our member colleges B Arch. No one shall treat these courses and our member colleges as a space to occupy till the course / college of your choice arrives. if any candidate discontinues the course after closing of admis-sions on 31/07/2019 or such date as could be decided by the competent authority including the court of Law,thecandidatehastopayliquidateddamagestothetuneoffullfeeofthecourse.ThestudentshallclaimforTCandothercertificatesafterclearingallthedues.

X. REFUND/ ADJUSTMENT OF FEES : In the case of SC/ST candidates, they should remit their fee to the concerned colleges at the time of admission. The same will be refunded in case the Govt. pay the fees to the college.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

1.Nopoliticalactivitiesshallbeorganisedinthecollegebyanystudents.Nopostersorflagsofanypolitical party or organisations shall be displayed in the college. Any such act will be treated seriously and will invite disciplinary action. 2.Students shall not form associations or organise profession in the college or college premises.3. The B. Arch Course is non-vacation course. And so no student shall claim for vacation or study leave unless or otherwise the Government or University declare so.4. Mobile phone is strictly banned in the campus of all our member colleges.5. Strict attendance and discipline shall be maintained.6. Misusing social media or other media to cause disgrace to our member colleges by any student of the member college or any person will attract legal and disciplinary action.7.Students who apply for the course in any of the member colleges of ACMA shall join the colleges only afterenquiringthoroughlyabouttherulesandregulationofthecollege.Noexcuseswillbeentertainedlater.8.Mass bunking of class is an offence. The member colleges will take action against any such act from the side of students.9.Minimumacademicdaysfixedbytheapprovingauthoritiesdonotmeanthatworkingdaysshallnotexceed the number. All colleges will make attempt to avail maximum working days to make sure, excel-lentqualityforthecoursetransacted.10.AllstudentsshallmaketheannualfeepaymentonthefirstworkingdayofJuneeveryacademicyear. The college will not be responsible for the delay in starting next year classes due to the delay in the conductofannualexambyuniversity.Delayinfeepaymentwillattractfine.11.Every member colleges will be having it’s own Uniform for the students. All students who join our member college have to follow the uniform and dress code of the college strictly. 12. Identity card is a must for all students to enter the college campus of our member colleges. And shall be dilayed properly while inside the college.
