GEOSCIENCE ASSESSMENT_____OFFICE
This report covers the prospecting work carried out in the Summer or zuuu~~~on a claim located on the south shore of Lake Panache in Truman Township.
One seven unit staked claim S1231361 was recorded on April 25,2000 to cover a portion of gabbroic rocks as shown on OGS map 2360, Sudbury Manitoulin . A portion of the map is attached to this report. The claim was re corded in the name of Gordon Richard Salo.
The claim is located in the center of the southern half of Truman Township (G3184) in the Sudbury Mining Division and is shown on the attached photo copy reduced claim map. Access to the claim can be by the Walker Lake Dam Rd. from Espanola or by the Northshore Rd. from Sudbury at the North east of the Township which also requires a boat crossing to the southern shore of Lake Panache where the claim is located. We accessed the claim by the lat ter route
A total of one day was spent prospecting by Adrian McLean of 524 Chicago Mine Rd. Worthington Ont. and myself Gordon Richard Salo of Site 12 box 46 RR1 Whitefish Ont
July 2. 2000.
Prospected from a starting point by the Dam location and along and near the southern claim line during the morning. Located four large areas of outcrop consisting of Nipissing Hornblende Metagabbro. Several locations were found to have a slightly rusty appearance on fractured, sheared and some what crumbly exposures. Collected one sample for assay at a distance of 425 meters from the Dam site and about 10 meters north of the claim line, see attached prospecting sketch map. No visible sulphides were seen in the sam ple material. The Sample numbered GS-00-4 was submitted for multi element analyses and assayed low values of 125 ppm Cu, 145 ppm Zn, 81 ppm Ni and 62 ppm Co. See attached assay certificates. During the afternoon continued prospecting near the south shore of Lake Panache and located three addi tional large areas of Hornblende Meta Gabbro similar to the previous out crops. Much of the claim area is covered with lightly overburdened and forest cover and could easily be hiding more significant mineralization and de serves further exploration efforts.

Only the thickest and most extensive Cenozoic de posits in which bedrock outcrops are absent or scarce are shown.
Formation subdivisions of the Phanerozoic rocks are according to Liberty (t973).
c Mafic dikes thai intrude rocks of the Grenville Piov- ince may be younger than diabase dikes cutting the Huronian rocks of the Southern Province.
The Salmay Lake Formation is probably apprO'i- mate/y correlative with the Stobie and Elsie Mountain Formations.
"Most of the mafic dikes cutting the Early Precam brian rocks of the Superior Province are probably of pre-Huronian age, although some are undoubtedly correlative with the post-Huronian Nipissing Diabase and late amphibolite, trap, and lamprophyre dikes.
Where in p/aces a formation is too narrow to show colour, and must be represented if black, a short black bar appears in the appropriate legend block.
