ABOUT US

Susana Balbo

In 1981, Susana got her degree in Winemaking. She graduated with

honors and became the first female winemaker in Argentina.

With more than 30 years of career experience, Susana got the

opportunity to be a consultant for important wineries in di�erent

wine regions, all around the world. This opportunity allowed her to

became a specialist in spotting trends and new styles of wines.

Recently, another one of Susana’s dreams came true: her sons, José

and Ana, decided to carry on with the family legacy and became

part of Susana Balbo’s team.

FROM MENDOZA CITY

- Take South freeway (Acceso Sur - Route 40) in south direction.

- Cross the Mendoza River bridge.

- After the YPF Mercosur gas station, take the exit into Route 7.

EXPERIENCESThe visit at Susana Balbo Wines is a fun and educational experience where we communicate our philosophy as winemakers. Our main goal is that our visitors learn key facts that they can use later in their day to day interaction with wine.During the tour through the vineyards, the winery, the cellar, and finally, the winetasting, we focus on the di�erence in producing our various styles of wines. We put an emphasis on judgment used in the vineyard treatment. We show di�erent processes in the winery for our lines. And finally, we explain the work with the oak for you

Premium ExperienceTour through the winery and tasting of 4 glasses - BenMarco, Susana Balbo, Expresivo & Brioso. Whites of Argentina ExperienceSusana Balbo is the Queen of Torrontés. Her high quality white wines produced from di�erent varieties of grapes, position the winery among the best in Argentina for white wine. This experience gives you the opportunity to taste the best creations of Susana Balbo Wines. It includes the tour through the winery and 3 glasses of wine – Crios, Susana Balbo Signature and the Premium line.The duration of the visit is about 75 minutes.Water and cookies accompany the tasting.

DISCOVERING FOOD AND WINE PAIRING

We invite you to discover the magic in food and wine pairing by

a unique experience.

In this opportunity, our visitors get the chance to taste 4 di�erent

wines with 4 di�erent flavors of food. We explain in this activity

that there are two ways of paring: by harmony and by contrast.

We want the tourist to learn through his personal experience the

influence that wine has on food and vice versa.

“BLEND-ART” EXPERIENCE

An experience based on interaction and entertainment. The activity

invites you to play around, try and discover the challenge of a

wine maker: to create his own work of art by combining di�erent

grape varietals.

The visitor is welcomed with a glass of wine. Then, the guided

tour starts.

To make the blend, the participants are presented with 3 bottles

of di�erent varietals, along with a descriptor of its characteristics

and what they would add to define a style. The visitor has to name

his/her creation and give it a brand, while he enjoys a glass of

BenMarco Expesivo or Susana Balbo Brioso.

WINE COCKTAIL TASTINGS

We designed a special experience for those who want to finish

the wine tour with a cocktail made of Crios wines, which can be

enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere with magnificent views of the

Andes mountains.

OUR RESTAURANTOSADÍA DE CREAROur main purpose was to open a restaurant that o�ers a unique

and innovative experience in Mendoza. When we first designed

this proyect, we established the values we want to share with our

visitors: our human warmth, the sensation of visiting Susana Balbo´s

home, the excellence of her wines and the pursuit of creating

great moments.

IDENTITYThe key in making great dishes is to combine the most diverse

culinary techniques, love for the raw materials and respect of

the nature.

Osadia de Crear o�ers a local and argentinean cuisine made of

local products, inspired by the beautiful landscape that surrounds

the winery.

OUR MENU

FIVE COURSE PAIRING MENU

This experience is based on a selection of 5 dishes of Osadia’s menu,

adapted in weight and presentation. These were specially combined

with 5 di�erent wines including: Crios, BenMarco and Susana

Balbo signature.

Each of the food pairings awake diverse sensations that are caused

by harmony or contrast of the wine and the food.

Susana Balbo and her team always participate in the search for the

perfect pairings for the restaurant.

THREE COURSE PAIRING MENU

The three and five course products are o�ered to a wide range of

visitors: from travel agencies which o�er the Osadia experience,

and locals who want to explore the wine culture in their own region.

It’s an all-inclusive product.

COOKING CLASSES

This cooking class consists in an Italian-Argentinean option, where

you learn about the influence of Italian culture in our gastronomy

and in wine making. The class is designed to express the “pairing”

in between two cultures to create a truly authentic identity. It takes

place on our guest house.

The recipes prepared include: country bread, grilled home-made

pizza and pasta with two di�erent sauces.

The wines that we taste during the class are selected by the visitor,

who can choose between Crios, Susana Balbo and BenMarco.

The chef is inspired in Argentina’s most risky and traditional fire

technics for cooking. The objective is to teach our guest di�erent

methods of cooking with fire: grill, wood oven, steal pan, iron cauldron,

direct flame and wire. The class also includes the symbolic experience

of the Mate, Argentinian traditional infusion, with its respective

language and tradition. The class is made in our Osadía Grill.

The wines tasted during the class are selected by the visitor, who

can choose between Crios, Susana Balbo and BenMarco.

Espacio Crios o�ers an innovative experience, both casual and

entertaining, to its visitors. It is inspired by the winery’s Crios branded

wines, a brand developed by Susana and her two children, José

and Ana. Here you can enjoy relaxed cocktail hours, creative finger

food or a glass of wine. Espacio Crios is a space to share unique

and special moments as you take in the dazzling view of the Andes.

The menu o�ers a variety of finger food options at a gourmet level

but in a relaxed context. You can also find ice cream made out of

wine and refreshing cocktails made with CRIOS. We take pride in

the creativity and variety to suit every taste.

CRIOS EXPERIENCEWe o�er a set menu per person that includes a salad, a sandwich,

mineral water and an ice cream made of wine, plus a bottle of Crios

for every two people.

For those who are looking for an option even more relaxed and chill,

“Espacio Crios” provides you with blankets and pillows to have a

picnic in the beautiful winery’s garden, while enjoying the view of

the vineyards and the impressive “Cordón del Plata” mountain range.

In addition, OsadÍa and Espacio Crios are well-equipped for children,

with special chairs, games and colored pencils for their entertainment.
