1. Planning to increase process efficiency  1. Line 4 Pipe Conveyor and line 4 Rotary Screen is not in operation due to all the pipes and chains from line 4 pipe conveyor taken as spare for line 1,2 &3 where by Rotary Screen line 4 there is no tires (8 sets) . 2. Line 3 driers no t ires (10sets) and cannot operate. In general only 3 lines are available for operation at RDF (75%).The operation capacity is about 525tons/day. Remarks: Current issues which distu rbed on the smooth operation are. 1. Availability of spare parts. 2. Very high unplanned down time (no proper cleaning on the equipment) because of general workers shortages. 3. Since from MPKJ stop sending MSW to RESB there is less MSW at re ceiving bay to process. 4. Others on machinery’s like shovels and Lories to transfer MSW. ( The maximum MSW bring up is about 250tons/day and sometime less that. To maintain these 3 lines in operation for next 3 month for process 540tons/day the important factors that need to look into are. 1.Keep Minimum spare stock levels examples (spare tires sets, bearing (22217EK),Bearing 32213

and 32215,pipes,pillow block 517 and bearing 32230 EK,HDPE belt ,pipes and other spares (other

spares update later).

Best of my understanding below are the recommended operation mode for next 2 month (May

2014 and Jun 2014) until we resolve line 3 drier and Line 4 Pipe conveyor and Rotary Screen issues

which can contribute additional 25% increase in process (585 tons/day).

2. In addition we also need look into how to increase recyclable revenue.

.The actual planning on recyclable recovery method by introduce recycle conveyor. Where

Management understand that they can recover 3% of recyclable by using oversize screen holes

(120mm and 240mm) holes sizes but in actual we still did not get even 1% of recyclable

materials from this conveyor.2.

 

They don’t want any metals pass through FORUS SHREDDER and damage the shredder.

3. 

This will look more systematic on recover the recyclable.

Over experience on FORUS SHREDDER is if the metals or any hard materials and also high cloaking in

between the after crusher will damage the cutting knife, rips and blocks and to do cleaning and

repair will take long hours.

At one point when both AFTER CRUSHER damage we run the FORUS without the crushers unit and

our light scrap metal extraction rate is 5tons/day by using the magnetic conveyor after the FORUS

Even for your batter understanding 50% of the oversize holes at Rotary Screen has been closed this

because we don’t want over feed at FORUS 1.

 My opinion for now is we need stop using the recycle conveyors option to recover all the recyclable

material this because.

1. 

We operate FORUS without CRUSHER BAR UNIT this means that currently FORUS function as

bag splitters. There for I don’t see there will be any problems on the FORUS.

2. 

We can do proper repair and maintenance on the FORUS because there is no oversize materialsreturns back to FORUS 1 after the shorting, less wear and tear for FORUS 1.

3. 

Line 1, 2 and Line 3,4 are independent (for current arrangement if FORUS 1 breakdown we need

stop all the line or remove the portable conveyor and need double handling of this return

materials.

4. 

Eliminate spillages under this area by this no additional manpower for cleaning.

5. 

We can recover light scrap metal 4tons to 5tons per/day. The other recyclable items can be

shorting at truncated line with relocate the manpower. Below are the data which I collected

from Munir (super visor) for recycling department.

6. 

Can plan reuse the recycle conveyor fix under the drier hopper at feeding side to recover the

backflow RDF by doing this there is no double handling, no spillage, and no bobcat usages, no

need blow air activities save compressor and no manpower needed to do cleaning at this area?

7. 

I did study on the above issues last year where about 220kg of the RDF backflow from this

hopper for every 30min.(220kg/30min/line) if the drier operate 10hrs we have handle about

(4400kg) or (4.4tons)/line of the spillages but for me this is very good fuel which need continue

flow .
