Main idea – for my final major project I will be making a short film based on the genre horror. I will base the story on a zombie apocalypse set in the near future.

Target audience – the target audience I am aiming for is mainly young adults who have a taste in suspense and jumpy scenes. The short film isn’t just limited to young adults; anyone who enjoys the horror genre will find this short film interesting.

Setting – I will shoot the story near where I live, because I have a good idea of the area I will be able to go to different locations to make sure the film is set in good locations and doesn’t just revolve around one area. I could also shoot some scenes in college in case I have a idea after I have filmed at home.

How I’m going to film it – I am going to use a Nikon DX to do my filming as this is a good camera for the different types of focus and angles I want achieve in the film. This will also be a good opportunity to increase my camera skills.

Props – I will be using props in my short film, most of the props I will be using can be found in my house. As the genre of the film will be a horror I will also get some fake blood to add to the effect. For one of the scenes I may add a knife to the clip but before shooting I will get an adult to oversee the shot so that nothing goes wrong.
