PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In our group of 4 students, we need to find a specific empty land

to initiate a small construction project. The size of the land shall

between 50m x 50m (2500m2) – 50m x 70m (3500m2). Individually, we

are to propose ONE project that serves on any ONE (1) or combination

of TWO (2) of the following purposes.

1. Recreation area

2. Commercial area

3. Industrial area

4. Agricultural area

5. Tourism area

6. Residential area

Hence, we chose a location at Seksyen 1, Petaling Jaya as our site

due to its good geography.

PROJECT SUMMARY

The site that we required find is a blank empty and there is

nothing inside the area.

I decide to choose this site to develop as a commercial area due

to there is residential around our site. Besides that, there are also some

facilities which people can have their family day over here.

Hence, I decide to build a food court and a speed mart in my site.

My initial idea was build an commercial area which there consist of a

food court which allow the resident there can have their meal or family

gathering over here, a car park beside the food court which allow

resident to park their vehicles and there is also a speed mart to

convenience those resident buy their groceries here.

124

125

IDEA FOR THE SITE

There area that I going to design will be divide into 3 parts as

shown below

As we can see that the left part of the side will be Gorrden Food

Court which allow the resident there can have their meal or family

gathering over here, the right upper part will be the 7/24 Speed Mart

mart to convenience those resident buy their groceries here. The right

bottom part of the side will be the car park so that the tourist can park

their own vehicles.

INTRODUCTION

GORRDEN FOOD COURT

GORRDEN food court is generally a common area within a facility

that is contiguous with the counters of multiple food vendors and

provides a common area for self-serve dining. Gorrden food court

consist of a number of vendors at food stalls or service counters. Meals

are ordered at one of the vendors and then carried to a common dining

area. The food may also be ordered as takeout for consumption at

another location, such as a home, or workplace. In this case, it may be

packaged in foam food containers, though one common food tray used

by all the stalls might also be utilized to allow the food to be carried to

the table. Food courts may also have shops which sell prepared meals

for consumers to take home and reheat, making the food court a daily

stop for some. Gorrden food court made up of twenty spots for the

best local and international food and drink. With favorites from Nasi

Padang, Yong Tau Foo and chicken rice, to Thai, Japanese and Korean

cuisine, there’s something to satisfy every palate at Food Junction.

When you’re out with family or friends and nobody can decide what to

eat, it’s a good idea to pop down to this food court. Everyone can

126

127

choose what they like and eat together in a comfortable, friendly

atmosphere.
