When you have a proportion it’s when you also have a healthy diet, because if you have a little bit of each thing then that is healthy.

To find the proportion it’s when you divide the price by the number you have. The number you get is the proportion of 1, if you want to find the proportion of 2 you double it.

If you want to find proportion then it is called the unitary method.

1. Find a pack of broccoli ( this pack is 20 pieces). Then you find out the price. The price is 1.00 ( for 20 pieces) so you change 1 pound into 100. So you do: 100 divided by 20 and you get 5 so you are left with 5 pence.

2. Find a pack of carrots (this pack is 10 pieces) Then you find out the prices. The price is also 1.00 so you change it into 100. so you do 100 divided by 10 and you get 10 so you get 10 pence.

The best buy is … broccoli because the price is less.
