What is a Pronoun?
A pronoun takes the place of a noun or another pronoun.
Personal pronouns can be subject, object, or possessive.
They also come in the singular and plural forms.
Subject Pronouns
Used as the subject of a sentence.May also be used as a predicate
pronoun after a linking verb.Example: I am learning about the
Mongolian ruler Genghis Khan.I is the subject pronoun.

Read each sentence with your partner. Identify the subject pronouns in each sentence.

Object Pronouns
An object pronoun is used as the direct object of a verb, an indirect object, or as the object of a preposition.
It is important to use them correctly when speaking and writing.
