Members of the Troop E family came together to

celebrate the new promotions of Edward Jones,

Manual Nunez and Timothy Brown.

A luncheon was staged at the Troop E Miami

Headquarters to celebrate these promotions.

The Pensacola District gathered together on November 16th to celebrate

Ken Salter's promotion to Lieutenant.

Lt. Salter began his career with the Highway Patrol in March of 1988. He graduated as a member of the

81st recruit class and was assigned to Pinellas Park. He promoted to Corporal, and transferred to Troop

K Martin County. He then promoted to Sergeant and transferred to Miami. From Miami he transferred

to Panama City, and then back home to the Pensacola area. Lieutenant Salter will begin his new duties

on December 23rd as the new District Lieutenant for the Crestview District in Troop A. Friends and

family were on hand to celebrate his recent promotion and wish him well. He will be missed in the

Pensacola District.

Lieutenant Kevin Blom and Corporal Sonny Ryals were honored for their recent promotion at a ceremony at the

Jacksonville FHP station. Major Grady Carrick presented them with their "official" badge and offered words of

praise and encouragement as they embark on their new assignments.

Lieutenant Blom will remain in Jacksonville as a Shift Commander at the Jacksonville Regional

Communications Center and Corporal Ryals will remain in the Jacksonville District as a Homicide Investigator.
