OTHER MANUFACTURER’S OF EQUAL PRODUCT SHALL BE ENGLERT AND METAL ROOFING SYSTEMS. ALTERNATE #1 BID IS BASED ON SITE FORMED STANDING SEAM METAL ROOFING SYSTEM BY MCELROY, ENGLERT OR METAL ROOFING SYSTEMS.

5. OTHER PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS REQUESTS SHALL BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING ON THE CSI SUBSTITUTION REQUEST FORM AT LEAST 7 WORKING DAYS BEFORE BID IS DUE.

GENERAL NOTES1. WORK SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL APPLICABLE LOCAL AND STATE CODES, ORDINANCES AND REGULATIONS AND THE INTERNATIONAL EXISTING BUILDING CODE 2012 AND THE VIRGINIA REHABILITATION CODE 2012.

2. IN AREAS WHERE DRAWINGS DO NOT ADDRESS METHODOLOGY, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FOLLOW THE MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS AND/OR RECOMMENDATIONS.

3. FIELD VERIFICATION OF DIMENSIONS, EXISTING SITE CONDITIONS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR.

4. NOTED DIMENSIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER SCALE. IF THERE ARE CONFLICTS BETWEEN DIMENSIONS AND SITE CONDITIONS, CONSULT ARCHITECT BEFORE PROCEEDING.

8. THE COUNTY OF WARREN AND/OR THE ARCHITECT WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR AND WILL NOT HAVE CONTROL OVER CONSTRUCTION, MEANS, METHODS, TECHNIQUES, SEQUENCES OR PROCEDURES, OR FOR SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND PROGRAMS IN CONNECTION WITH THE WORK.

9. TOUCH-UP OR REPLACE IN KIND ALL FINISHES TO RESTORE DAMAGED OR SOILED AREAS. CLEAN ALL AREAS IN CONTRACT. WHERE TOUCH UP INCLUDES PAINTING, NEW PAINT MUST COVER TO CLOSEST CORNER.

10. THIS PROJECT IS OWNED BY THE COUNTY OF WARREN AND WILL REQUIRE SPECIAL STAGING TO ACCOMMODATE THE PUBLIC. THE FACILITIES WILL BE OCCUPIED DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS. A PRE-BID MEETING SHALL BE HELD TO DISCUSS STAGING. WORK SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH BUILDING OCCUPANTS.

11. ANY PLANNED DISRUPTION OF OR TIE-INS TO EXISTING UTILITIES SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH THE COUNTY REPRESENTATIVE AND FACILITY OCCUPANTS. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF EMERGENCIES, THERE SHALL BE A 24 HOUR NOTICE GIVEN BY THE CONTRACTOR TO OWNER AND OCCUPANTS AFFECTED BY UTILITY INTERRUPTIONS.
