practical and scientificThe degree program offers practical study courses that buildon foundation coursework in civil engineering with in-depthscientific study in close collaboration with interdisciplinaryinstitutes at Biberach University of Applied Sciences, which offer laboratories and testing centers to reinforce course material. Degree program lecturers come straight from business and research to help bridge the gap between theory in practice, and students analyze and work on real projects in teams to gain practical experience.

consistent and project-orientedThe next stage of learning follows with the Master of Engineering offered in consecutive study. 1 - 2 Scientific foundation in mathematics, physics, chemistry, technical mechanics, law, hydromechanics, basic project management skills

3 - 4 Geotechnology, transportation, sanitary engineering, accounting, costing

5 Practical semester (internship – 95 attendance days)

6 - 7 Advanced lectures (structural engineering or infrastructure engineering), project work, project scheduling and cost planning, Bachelor’s thesis

regional and internationalThe Project Management/Civil Engineering degree programmaintains a tightly knit network with constructioncompanies in the region and beyond as well as planningand project controlling offices. Moreover, the academicdepartment cultivates contacts, cooperation partnershipsand exchange programs with partner colleges anduniversities in a number of different countries – includingAustria, Georgia, Sweden, Canada, Argentina, India andVietnam. The degree program makes it easy for students totransfer anywhere in Europe, while overseas experience isencouraged – both during the course of studies and lateron in students’ careers. Major field trips and excursionstake students across the globe to destinations such asChina, Brazil and Portugal. Students organize and carry outthese activities themselves – demonstrating complex projectmanagement at its best.
