#5 If given the chance, would you buy the rubber egg tray if available in the market?

The graphs show the data about Question #5. No one voted no, while the 15 respondents agreed to the question. It means that the rubber egg tray is salable and attractive enough to be marketed in the future.

The group now therefore concludes that using rubber is better instead of plastic egg trays. As tested through the different experiment runs, it is proved that rubber can withstand and increase the factors that can protect the encased egg by 2. It has the same factors that can protect it through heavy weights and cold temperatures. But the rubber egg tray has factors that highly excel in being invulnerable against heat and resilient against shock. Another is that silicone rubber is actually on of the strongest kinds of rubbers which can be molded easily compared to the other kinds of rubber.

Conclusions:

Page 3: Project in research (congress defense) part 2 of 2

Doing a right rubber egg tray just like what the researchers did is seriously hard. It takes pure patience and hard work to make one. So this product is more or less a prototype whereas this egg tray is just a base for protecting the egg tray. The researchers used fiber to make a perfect and fine mold of the egg tray. The rubber egg tray made by the researchers were stronger than plastic, but still has limitations though. It’s best to use silicon rubber as a choice of rubber to use as this can contribute to the tray’s higher resistance to shock, and extreme temperatures at the same time. Remember to take note of how you actually wanted it to look like. For other persistent workers, it’s best to do this when you have lots of resources around you as this may be costly. It’s also highly recommended to keep tract of time as this may be time-consuming if you’re uncertain about what to do.

Heavy Weights (10 lbs.)

Rubber Egg Tray

PET plastic egg tray, Eggs and Match

2 Test tube holders

5-6 alcohol lamps

Cooler with ice

Documentations:

2 denatured alcohol

a basketball or two

egg tray molder

A pot

Beaker (optional) and Tripod

Page 6: Project in research (congress defense) part 2 of 2

Documentations:Procedures:

Cut the ball into pieces Place the ball in a pot for live fire heating

Prepare some rocks and dried leaves then drench them in liquid gas

Light the leaves up using a lighter until it produces a big fire

Wait for a while until it melts. Now, set aside the egg tray molder and prepare the liquefied ball.

Page 7: Project in research (congress defense) part 2 of 2

Documentations:

Turn off the heat then get the liquid and pour it in the molder and let it

cool overnight

After that, put screws in the 2 sides to make a joint so you can close and

open it easily

Now, add a maximum no. of 6 eggs and at least 2 eggs at each (rubber and plastic) egg

trays for each experiment to work accurately.

Do the same for the plastic egg tray. Make sure to put the SAME AMOUNT OF EGGS as this will affect the result of the experiment.

Now prepare the rubber and plastic egg tray and ask one member to drop it at KNEE

HEIGHT level one after the other.

(OPTIONAL) If you think this is a waste of eggs, then it is HIGLY RECOMMENDED to boil the eggs

for a WHILE only to lessen breakage.

Page 8: Project in research (congress defense) part 2 of 2

Documentations:

After that check, the eggs if they cracked or not. Same for the plastic egg tray

Next off, prepare the alcohol lamp by pouring denatured alcohol inside. Prepare

the match too.

Next off, prepare the alcohol lamp by pouring denatured alcohol inside. Prepare

the match too.

While doing that, ask another member to prepare a cooler by filling it halfway with

ice.

Now, light the alcohol lamp using a match, then put 2 tripods between the alcohol

lamps, then put the trays above, one after another.

Heat them off. Remember, if both produces signs that it is burning, IMMEDIATELY

TURN IT OFF and record its survival time.

Documentations:

After that, put the plastic egg tray in the cooler and let it stay for 5 minutes, then

check for any defects with the tray afterwards.

Do the same with the rubber egg tray afterwards.

After that, put the 10 lbs. heavy weights and let it stay for 5 minutes, then check for any defects with the tray and egg afterwards.
