1. Project title : Performance improvement of Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger Responsibilities : CAD repair for base model and 3 other models with different baffle spacing and cut. Set appropriate Part IDs by studying the geometry of the model. Created unstructured surface and volume mesh for different models Mesh repair to improve the quality of mesh under the given Mesh criteria and conditions. Reducing skewness in volume mesh – which should be below 0.8. Setting boundary conditions in solver for simulating the CHT problem. 2. Project Title : Optimizing the design of impeller for Single Stage centrifugal Pump Responsibilities : Fluid domain extraction for the given models are carried with commercial pre-processing tools. CAD repair on different impeller configurations is carried out. Moving reference frame technique is used for simulating the impeller. Setting boundary conditions in solver for simulating the flow field. 3. Project Title : Numerical simulation of heat sink in electronic control Board Responsibilities : CAD repair and Fluid domain extraction for the given models of circuit boards. Surface and volume mesh is generated for the entire system adhering to the given mesh quality criteria and conditions. Creating unstructured tetrahedron mesh for the system. Report generation on pre-processing and mesh generation.

4. Project title : Optimizing for better pressure head in a Multi-stage Submersible mixed pump.

Responsibilities :

Mesh generation and mesh clean-up of the given model is carried out and report generated for the type of mesh and mesh quality criteria that is followed.

Moving reference frame technique is used to numerically simulate the flow field of the impeller.

Turbulence study is conducted to find the suitable turbulence model. Report generation and post processing the results for that certain viscous model.
