1. The Question:How does the use of student personal devices in school impact the classroom?
2. Objectives and Assessment
Objectives:
1. To expand opportunities for students to use their personal devices for learning in theclassroom and at home.
2. To determine whether or not student use of personal devices will increase:* Student collaboration
* Student engagement* Student learning (outside the classroom)3. To define a plan for 2010-2011 implementation
We are developing a proposal, identifying assessments, and planning to document theproject and process. We are getting alot of great feedback from our PLN. We hope to have anice package with parent communication, lesson plans, resources and lots of stories.Wewill definitely want to share this with everyone when we begin again in the fall. In themeantime, I would be happy to share what we are doing with you along the way. We have awikispace where we are documenting our process and a blog for parents (and others)tofollow.
We started our discussion with our PLN using the following teaser: (You might enjoy) http://blabberize.com/view/id/186011
Thanks, Please let others know we are here and are hoping to be very transparent with ourprocess.
