AIESEC LC HasanuddinUniversity is the only entity

that run in eastern Indonesia specifically in

Makassar, South Sulawesi. We have managed

some impactful and meaningful projects since our

entity start to grow. Greenerationproject is one of

our Project Based on Exchange and we hope we

can make positive impacts by this project. So

especially for our environment with us here

through Greenerationproject.

(MSW),like many cities in developingcountries,the volumeof MSWis rising

significantlywith increasingpopulationand economicdevelopment. Indonesian

populationhasgrowthat a rateof 1,5%peryearfrom 205 million in 2000 to 237

million in 2010. as a consequenceof a high urbanization rate,overhalf of the

populationlivesin urbanarea.

Totalamongof wastein Indonesiais increasingabout2-4%peryear. Most

of generateis householdwastereaching43%of total wastegenerationby source,

thenfollowedby marketwaste,streetandpublicfacilitieswaste,industrialwaste

andother.

Greenerationproject is a newly-emerging project based on

especially about waste management. Greenerationproject is

focusing on environment which is aim to increase the

awareness of society especially young peoplein Makassar

about the importance ofcreating a healthy environment by

working with youth overseas to creating global mindset and

culture understanding by doingsocialproject in Makassar for

7 weeks.
