Go Play is a non-protorganization with the solepurpose of helping childrento get out there and play.Go Play! works hard tobring energetic and safeactivities to the youth of theUnited States. We buildparks, fund parks, sponsortowns, sponsor schools, leadfun runs, organize healthycooking classes, and manymore things to promote ahealthy lifestyle.

With a focus on play andhealthy choices, we hopeto decrease childhood andadult obesity in our country.

Our

Vision

Kids between the ages of eight to 18 play outside less than anygeneration in our history. This equates to more children sitting infront of a screen for more time in our history as well. Televisionwatching is linked to poor eating habits: junk food, candy, sugarydrinks which all add to our childhood obesity epidemic.

Not only does physical health decrease with decreased play, butbehavioral and cognitive disorders increase. With schools cuttingfunding to physical education we can only foresee an increase in thisdevastating problem.

What can be done? Howdo we overcome these

seemingly insurmountablechallenges? Go Play! canhelp make a change.

Kids who have play a partof their school day, dobetter in school, becomebetter team players, anddevelop into more creativethinkers.
