Narration
Once a year, he travels to another country to get comics,
and he has gone as far as Germany, France, Mexico,
Belgium, and Italy to add items to the collection.
Action
Transition from previous panel: objects around Randy
fade out, then we zoom out to see that Randy was in a
plane flying across the world, stars pop in over countrieson their corresponding verbal cues.
Narration
However, the collection hs grown almost entirely
through the generous donations of many collectors,
publishers, and comics retailers.
Action
Hands slide in from top and rock back and forth, libraryslides in from bottom; books fall scattered shortly
thereafter and get smaller as they approach library,
which grows larger when books fall into it.
Narration
The collection started in the 1970s, upon the insistence
of Russell B. Nye.
Action
1970s pops in by number, but instead of a zero, we see
the depiction of Mr. Nye (indicated). Mr. Nye wiggles his
mustache upon mention of his name.
Narration
Nye felt that professors should be studying comic booksand other pop culture items, so libraries should be
collecting these items to aid the professors research.
Action
Thought bubble comes up from Nyes head in 1970s
(he looks up at it) and camera moves upward with it. We
finally see the thought bubble containing Nye reading
comics
Narration
In the end, Nye pressured a couple undergrad students
into donating their comic collections to the llibrary, and
they eventually obliged.
Action
Bubble fades out, we follow the trail back to Nye who
gets serious, and the students QUICKLY slide their
hands out and start tossing books into the box.
