PROJECT_01_CREATIVE WRITING EPILOGUE AND PERSONAL THINKING So many people NYC ride MTA SUBWAY to goto work. I also ride subway every day from Astoria. When i ride subway around 8am to go to morning class, subway was packed with so many people who trying to goto work. Every single one of them looks tired and really angry. This makes me think “this subway is almost like a slavery boat from past history” So i want to express my thinking about MTA SUBWAY AS A CHARACTER ANIMATION WITHOUT VOICE OVER. The reason i chose mushroom as a main character is mushroom grow up in place which does not have light and wet. T o me people who living in new york city living in dark and wet concreat jungle. SETTING AND BACGROUND OF STORY NEW YORK CITY(mushroom based, NYC building filled with mushroom shaped build- ing) All sorts of mushroom around the world came here to work. (Asian mushroom, White mushroom.. etc) MOOD GRAY AND CONCRETE JUNGLE No green. Busy. air pollution. like a ghost in the shell, cyber punk. INTRO Millions of mushroom commute from all 5 boroughs by getting on MTA every morn- ing. MTA is a trademark of NYC to a lot of people and think that it’s the best transporta- tion system in the world. However, in reality, commuters are in chaos of delayed and packed subways. MAIN STORY Like every other day, a mushroom named Tae was having a hard time breathing in the packed subway. He could barely move in between other mushrooms. Every mushrooms looked annoyed, tired, and sensitive. Some looked like they were about to start a fight. ENDING In this hectic scenario, Tae saw a poster AD in the subway that read, “History of Slav- ery Museum.” (slave inside boat picture) Those slaves, too, were packed inside the boat to go to work with frustrating faces. Supermarket
A student mushroom needs to buy his groceries so he visits Trader Joes. He picks up the pamphlet laid in front of the super-market and checks out what’s on sale.
He looked at the products that were on sale and there was one section that was empty. Strange.
All of a sudden, The student mushroom gets sucked inside the pamphlet and becomes one of the products.
MTA SUB WAY
A Freelance designer mushroom get on the subway to go to work with his regular Dunkin Donut coffee and the morning bur-ritos in his hands.
Like always there’s no seat left fot him so he stands in between other mushrooms. He looks up and sees this ugly-designed re-cruiter hiring ad. It reads, “ how easy can it get. We hire for you so call...”
He starts critiquing this ugly-designed ad just like other times and suddenly...
The freelance mushroom and all other mushrooms that were in the subway gets sucked insdie the print ad.
