Progressive Web Apps SUMMER SCHOOL IN AARHUS, DENMARK 5 August 2019 – 15 August 2019 The summer school ‘Progressive Web Apps´ is a 2-week summer school, which is held at Business Academy Aarhus. The purpose of the summer school is to provide knowledge, skills and competencies in analysis, design and implementation of progressive web apps. Students will be awarded 5 ECTS credits. The summer school is open for all under graduate IT students who have a solid background in programming – web-programming is an advantage but not a requirement. What do I get out of it?Progressive web apps, which are the new buzzwords that might take over the entire market from native apps. It takes the simplicity of HTML, CSS and Javascript and adds the power of native and offline functionality. The summer school will focus on:

• Theoretical insights and practical experience in developing an international PWA

• Project management, security, usability and programming

• Working in cross-cultural and interdisciplinary teams

Lectures will be based on theory and practical laboratory work. The entire course will be taught in English by lecturers and professors from Seneca College and Business Academy Aarhus.

Practical details The summer school is open for all under graduate IT students who have a backround in programming.

There are no tuition fees for the summer school. You must pay all other expenses in connection with the summer school in Aarhus. If you are offered a place on this summer school, a non-refundable pre-payment must be paid in approximately mid-March in order to ensure your registration. This amount pays for local transportation and some meals during the summer school etc.
