Progression creates a highly optimized, chronologically organised library of project snapshots that can be easily restored by the Petrel user, at any time. Developed specifically for EMC storage, Progression allows you to: • enable efficient storage utilisation by leveraging the capacity-efficient snapshot capabilities of EMC storage • secure the integrity of your project data by capturing copies of project data and associated metadata on a secure storage platform • provide insight into your projects by creating a shared snapshot library across your entire Petrel user community • reduce the chaos that can be caused by users trying to maintain their own library of project versions Snapshots provide fast and efficient means of capturing Petrel project results. Users can schedule sync and snap commands, and are able to quickly find and retrieve the version they want from the Progression snapshot library.
