I started with a picture I took myself. I put a model in this stance to present a powerful atmosphere, a feeling I wanted to reflect sport itself.

I adjusted the hue saturation of my background, and altered the curves to give a more abstract look. The purple/green background really stands out and catches attention.

I decided that I wanted to place my masthead behind my models head, and used the magnetic lasso tool to cut his head out.
