Friends in Philadelphia Yearly Meeting experience and express a connection to Spirit on a multitude of paths. Worshiping in the manner of Friends; exploring stories with children; shifting our culture toward greater justice and equality; living with a rhythm of retreat and reflection; playing with friends in deep community; vocal ministry; learning; caring for those in need: all of these are done in a spirit of connection with that which is Universal that is present for us all.

Each of these paths, and more, are represented by the work and activity within our Yearly Meeting community. The programs in this book are a manifestation of our corporate spiritual experience. All Friends are welcome and encouraged to participate and come deeper into the life of the community through these offerings.

Christie Duncan-Tessmer Associate Secretary for Program & Religious Life
