HEY! HEALTHY EATING FOR YOUNG CHILDREN
“CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY DOES NOT END AT THE FACTORY GATE OR THE OFFICE DOOR. WE SHOULD LEAD OUR COMPANIES WITH OUR HEARTS AS MUCH AS OUR HEADS, AND WE SHOULD NOT FORGET THAT WHILE THE ENERGY RESOURCES ON EARTH ARE LIMITED, THOSE OF MAN ARE INFINITE IF HE FINDS THE MOTIVATION.”
Antoine Riboud, one of Danone’s founders, speaking in 1972.
HEALTHY FOOD STARTS WITH A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENTDanone has been leading thinking on social responsibility and sustainability for more than 40 years, long before it appeared on many other companies’ agendas. We take action to protect nature and promote better accessibility to good food and nutrition, wherever you are in the world.
EAT LIKE A CHAMP
Making nutrition education exciting for 9-11 year olds. EAT LIKE A CHAMP has been deployed in more than 1,200 classes across the country and aims to have reached one million children by 2020. Learn more: www.eatlikeachamp.co.uk
HEY! is an Early Years community health improvement project created in partnership with Danone, Wiltshire Council, 4Children and CHLF. HEY!'s ambition is to improve the health outcomes and life-chances of young children. Delivered in children's centres, HEY! focusses particularly on the most vulnerable families and for many of the parents attending the programme, it represents their first steps back into learning. To date, HEY! has reached more than 600 families across the UK, to find out more search for 'Hey! Healthy Eating for Young Children' on Facebook.
OUR SOCIAL MISSION IN ACTION
This is the world’s biggest global football tournament for children aged 10 to 12. Each year over 2.5 million children from 32 countries take part. It brings Danone’s health mission to life by encouraging kids to get active and follow in the footsteps of great sportsmen, such as the tournament’s global ambassador Zinedine Zidane. It is a great feeling that my job allows me to live and breathe my passions for science and health, whilst making a genuine impact within the business and the wider community. I have been given real responsibility early on, working on nutritional projects which resonate with me and representing products I believe in. Day to day, my role has varied from working with agencies to develop nutritional tools for the public, delivering scientific training to the wider business or collaborating with colleagues worldwide to continuously improve the nutritional standards of our products.

"AFTER RESEARCHING THE COMPANY, I FOUND THAT THE CULTURE AND MORALS OF THE COMPANY REALLY ALIGNED WITH
MY OWN BELIEFS"
The main reason I chose to apply to Danone is because it was the only human nutrition graduate scheme being offered in the UK. After researching the company, I found that the culture and morals of the company really aligned with my own beliefs. The emphasis on developing characters and the vast quantity of opportunities really hit home and made joining the company one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever had to make.
In my current role, my main responsibility is to build relationships and deliver educational updates to professionals who, through their roles, provide advice to consumers on our products. This also encompasses attending national exhibitions and orchestrating informative study events.

INDUCTION
You'll be introduced to the wider world of Danone at your residential induction week
where you'll learn about our mission, what it's like to be a Danoner, and about our business units. As part of this you'll meet a range of people across our UK business units, and in teams, you'll be taking on a number of
challenges including a group presentation to some of our managers and directors. Once in role you'll also experience inductions relevant
to your assigned business unit.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Together with your manager you'll create a bespoke personal development plan
in your first week, tailoring your learning experiences to your behavioural and
functional needs. You'll own your personal development plan ongoing and you will evolve it as you progress with the help of your manager and other people in your
Danone support network. In year two you will tailor your behavioural and functional learning experiences to your new role and build on your strengths and experiences in
year one. Continuing to own and evolve your personal development plan will be one of
the most important elements to enable your successful progression at Danone.
CHARITY/ COMMUNITY CHALLENGE
Work with your graduate colleagues on a set project, managing every element
from securing budget to engaging senior stakeholders.
COACHING
You'll be offered the opportunity to be coached by one of our Danone business
coaches to support your successful transition from year one to year two, and to help you think about your future path with Danone.
SELF AWARENESS & PERSONAL IMPACT
Your learning journey at Danone starts with self awareness. Like everyone at Danone you'll receive an Insights profile to help
you build working relationships through a better understanding of the behavioural preferences of yourself and others. You'll
also start to focus on developing your personal impact from day one, to enable you to make great first impressions and to learn to engage stakeholders though storytelling.
FUNCTIONAL/SPECIALIST SKILLSOn-the-job learning of the systems and
processes required in your role.
BUILDING A NETWORK
Building connections across the UK business units is an important part of our graduate scheme. In year one you'll have
a buddy and in the second year of the scheme you'll be invited to networking
events where you'll get to meet a variety of senior stakeholders across all of our
business units.
Our recruitment process is designed to help you understand if Danone is the right place for you.
The most important start point for us is uncovering your passion for our business – your connection with our pursuit
of bringing good health through food to all and with our dual economic and social project.
