a Conferência tem por objectivo promover o conhecimento e o debate sobre alguns temas estruturantes que terão impacto no relacionamento europa-África e na cooperação para o desenvolvimento nos próximos anos. as sessões incluem apresentações e debates sobre os efeitos da crise económica, sobre as questões demo-gráficas, os problemas de segurança, o financiamento do desenvolvimento e os novos actores, incluindo um último painel sobre a definição da arquitectura global do Desenvolvimento. a iniciativa tem como pano de fundo a realização da Cimeira ue-África prevista para 2014 e as discussões em curso para uma agenda global para o Desenvolvimento pós-2015, que necessariamente ligará questões complexas como a segurança, o ambiente, a governação e o crescimento.
the conference aims at promoting knowledge and debate on some structural issues that will impact on europe-afri-ca relations and on international development cooperation in forthcoming years. the sessions include presentations and debates on the economic crisis’ effects, on demographic issues, security concerns, development financing and new actors, as well as a last panel about the definition of the global develop-ment architecture. the background for these debates is the eu-africa Summit, to be held in 2014, and the on-going discussions towards a post-2015 global develop-ment agenda, which will necessarily link complex issues such as security, environment, governance and growth.
