Marketing & Operations Roundtable Sessions

2:00 – 3:45 PM ROOM 202 Participants will have the opportunity to take part in a combination of Marketing / Operations Roundtable discussions covering intriguing and relevant topics.

Marketing Topics:

1) Building and Managing a “Social Media Community” Learn how to fit social media into your overall marketing mix. Develop effective “calls-to-action” to improve results utilizing the tools needed to ensure your success without overextending your marketing team. This session will help to more effectively engage shoppers and grow your social media audience.

Katherine Fletcher Senior Vice President, Managing Director and Senior Partner High Road Communications Ottawa, ON

2) MaximizingYour Marketing Budget – 40% More forYour Budget in 40 Days Organizations must rethink how they can best engage their shoppers by creating cohesive, integrated and comprehensive marketing strategies. This discussion will examine how seeking customer feedback can be a more powerful tool than following new media trends or continuing “what always worked’ in the past. Find out how your mall’s strategic assessment can boost your budget's effectiveness and spending power by more than 40% in as little as 40 days.

Andrew Ballenthin President EM3 / Sol Solutions Toronto, ON

3) Aligning your brand with a key charity to make a bigger difference. With many successful cause-marketing events such as Unwrapped and Unwined, among others, Deborah Stetz, Marketing Director of Coquitlam Centre will share her stories about what makes these types of events successful, on how to ensure the shopping centre brand is aligned, and how to involve retailers, leverage partnerships and sponsorship opportunities, and finally engage the mall’s community.

Deborah L. Stetz Marketing Director Coquitlam Centre Coquitlam, BC

4) Driving On-Premise Traffic via Digital Channels As consumers of all ages continue to increase their use of digital to communicate with their friend networks and the brands they love, learn how to interact with them through channels including Facebook, Mobile, Twitter, Web, Email and Pinterest. Further discover the pitfalls of using digital over traditional and how to best avoid them when running digital campaigns. “Check-in to Win” campaigns will be used as an example of how to transition from traditional to digital marketing promotions. Strong calls to action across multiple digital channels are leveraged to push consumers on premise. Each channel produces a promo code which consumers can redeem at on site touch screen kiosks or at guest services. Discover the depth of data capture and analysis available through digital channels. 3 Tier Logic has run “Check-in to Win” campaigns across multiple shopping centers, successfully driving and measuring on premise traffic and ROI. The roundtable discussion will include a review of the data and analytics from past initiatives.
