The festivities begin on 21 August, 10.00-17.00, at Vejle Fjord. Water is this year’s theme, and Wild about Water kicks off the fun with the unveiling of eight floating sculptures on the fjord at the Floating Art Exhibition. The largest is a five-meter high sculpture of a refugee. Experience the sculptures, watch swimmers cross the fjord and immerse yourself in the mari-time atmosphere at Vejle Marina with stands and music from Wafande and Sebastian Klein among others.

Beat the drum for culture in HaderslevTo put the spotlight on the activities of the festival in weeks 34/35, a bus disguised as a café will visit various locations in the town of Haderslev. Onboard the bus will be drummer Peter Volstedt, who in each location will drum for culture. Appetisers will be handed out at the run-up to Haderslev’s exciting festival events. There will be balloons for children and others who are young at heart. There will also be tasty food available. The first time the drum beats for culture is Thursday, 25 August, 10.00 to 22.00. The bus will drive to the Gram area in the daytime, in the evening it will participate in the Høtte Parade in Vojens.

HALFDANS UNIVERS – A SENSORY EXHIBITION 21.08. - 04.09., 10.00-18.00 / Magion, Tinghusgade 15, Grinsted

Can you hug a letter? Four artistic installations based on Halfdan Rasmussen’s well-known nursery rhymes, just waiting for children to investigate. Here you can literally taste the words. The exhibition is primarily for children aged 4-7.

Can’t wait to get started?The official opening of the Triangle Festival will take place on 26 August. That’s when the Orange Halls in Fredericia open their doors for the art project Dangerous Fine Flying. However, if you don’t like to wait, let the fun begin here!

Dangerous Fin Flying Above Fredericia Well-known artist Simone Aaberg Kærn explores the skies with fans of flight.

Everybody knows the feeling: What if you could fly! When the Triangle Festival opens in Fredericia on Friday, 26 Au-gust, it will be with an amazing video art installation about the dream of flying. How high will the people of Fredericia dare to fly?

A number of citizens from Fredericia have been a part of this project. Together with the artist Simone Aaberg Kærn, they have explored the concept of flying and described their fa-vourite place in Fredericia. At the opening of the festival their flights will be shown on a big screen in “De Orange Haller”. Everyone can also have a go at trying to “fly” in the temporary green screen studio.

THE LABYRINTH – BUILDING AND ART PROJECTCreated in the first few days of the festival, the helical culture maze is a temporary building. It provides the framework for small and large art and cultural experiences, so both the de-sign and content reflect Fredericia. Artists, associations and many others will fill up the temporary building with activities. The maze is the precursor for a great event in 2017, where 400 architecture students from all of Europe will meet in Fredericia and work with architecture and urban development for two weeks.26.08. - 04.09.,J.B. Story of the fabulous animal and how it got its nickname” and send it to elha@billund.dk by the 18 August at the latest. The board of the Billund Sculpture Park will select two winners: one for the best story and one for the best nickname. The two winners will each receive a prize. The story will be read aloud, and the names will be published.

She is gospel personified; she rests in the music, and her enormous heartfelt voice touches people and brings them on a journey surrounded by belief, hope and love. Sunday, August 28th, at the former mental hospital in Teglgårdsparken in Middelfart. Under the title ”An in-sanely good Sunday” you can gain insight into how mental illness was treated in the past, and hear stories about previous patients, including the painter P.S. Krøyer. Contempo-rary psychiatry is also on the program with guided tours of local mental health facilities. In the course of the day there will be activities for both children and adults including outdoor yoga, dance-theatre, and workshops with artist Steffan Herrik. In a unique tent, authors Anne Riel and Jonas T. Bengtsson will talk about their novels. The day will end with a special show-ing of Bille August’s film about Marie Krøyer. All events are free and are conducted between 11:00 to 16:00.

THE WAYS OF THE MOTH AND WORKSHOP An adventurous original tale told through dance, film and movement for everybody older than five years.

After the performance the audience can learn selected sequences from the show, taught by the dancers. The aim is to communicate dance and movement from young peopleto young people. Vejle Art Museum started Floating Art on 21 August at when they opened the international floating sculpture exhibition at Svineryggen in Vejle Marina. If you have not yet experienced it, then September 1st is your last chance. Eight floating sculptures have challenged the museum’s traditional frames and the concept of sculpture as completed object. You will experience a huge boat refugee, a work that enhances the port’s sounds, floating logs and procedural works that change over time. The exhibition focuses on current problems and the lives we live, and the eight works interact with water and the location of the fjord. Djämes Braun rounds off the evening and cranks up the party with their popular dance-hall music. Kolding’s own Blindheart warm things up with their straightforward rock.

The university building becomes an unconventional con-cert setting when we turn the building into a giant canvas on which images of students’ favourite places appear. A sense of place in a huge space! The pictures, taken by students in the photo competition ”Sense, shoot, share and win” (Sans, Knips, Del- og Vind) on Instagram with the hashtag #studiebykolding. Audiovisual Art InstallationSøndergade, Kolding

See the audiovisual art installation in the tunnel in Søndergade. Discover the Triangle Area conveyed through light and sound. Get sucked deep into another universe where anything can happen. WASTE TIME HOME PARTY – NISRINE BOUKHARIHow does a person who has lost his home perceive cosiness? Is there such a thing as cosiness when you feel unsafe? 168 pieces of 2 meters long Mikado Sticks built up like a giant sculpture in the middle of the pedestrian zone by the Syrian artist Nisrine Boukhari. The artwork reminds us that whatever can be built can easily be torn down - our home, for example. The work is both a political comment on the Syrian situation, but also relevant for Danes. How much en-ergy do we use in keeping our lives and homes together? Nisrine Boukhari will be present to discuss what a home really is.

WASTE TIME TEA BAR WITH ANJA FRANKEA huge table with blue painted porce-lain. From a distance it looks like Royal Copenhagen. When you get closer to it, you see it’s painted with intricate doodles by Danes and Syrians. Artist Anja Franke is responsible for the tableware. She has along with local volunteers in the Triangle Area’s seven municipalities organised dinners where the porcelain has been painted. You are invited to a tea party with Anja Franke, where tea is served in cups from Waste Time Tableware. You also get the opportunity to contribute to the tableware by painting on white por-celain. From 14th. September, the total tableware collection can be experienced at Trapholt Museum.

From Nature to the Table with the Renowned Chef Thomas HermannThis event involves six very different nature tours in Haderslev Municipality. Our goal is to gather ingredients that we will then cook and eat together in Damparken.

Nature guides will talk about the flora and fauna of the different areas and help collect raw materials.

Transportation to and from the country-side and back to town by coach. Back in Damparken Thomas Hermann along with

trainee chefs from Tyrstrup Kro, local chefs and butchers will guide you on how to use Nature’s raw materials..
