Profile Series v.S1Intelligent Power over Ethernet Access Control Solution
With the power of iCLASS
Overview
Now available with the enhanced security of HID® iCLASS® 13.56 MHz smart card technology, the SARGENT Profile Series v.S1 Power over Ethernet (PoE) lock uses the existing Local Area Network (LAN) for both power and data, eliminating the need for any additional power supply or electrical wiring.
Simple, secure online access control
The v.S1 leverages existing IEEE 802.3af (PoE) infrastructure to streamline the installation process, reduce costs, and enable real-time communication
Functionality Overview
Centralized lock management
Door status monitoring*
Lockdown capable*
Support for HID® prox (125 kHz 26-39 bit) and iCLASS® (13.56 MHz 26-39 bit, full authentication) credentials Supports CSN for other 13.56 MHz cards (Mifare, Felica,
DesFire, etc)
Real-time, configurable alarm reporting
*Third-party software dependent
Technology Overview
One Ethernet cable supplies both power and data

Deployment
Plan for Success! Consider the following steps: Get the IT department involved
Verify availability of PoE-enabled ports or midspan devices
Select a compatible access control system
Select an Authorized Channel Partner and Certified Integrator
Schedule product delivery
Authorized Channel Partner and Certified Integrator Programs
Authorized Channel Partner (ACP) Limited to approved wholesale, contract hardware
distributors, and access control manufacturers who…– Offer technology products to Certified Integrators– Ensure the right products are ordered for the right
application for timely installations
Certified Integrator (CI) Includes qualified security systems integrators, network
administrators, locksmiths, and end users that install and manage their own systems
Attends hands-on training to ensure competent and qualified technicians install and integrate these products into your system
Data Hinge
Each v.S1 door requires one data hinge, one door harness assembly, and one frame harness assembly
Available only through McKinney
Power transfers are also available through Securitron
PoE cabling
The door and frame cables are available from McKinney and can be found in the McKinney transfer device catalog
IMPORTANT: Both the door cable and frame cable come with Molex connectors on each end These are not standard
ElectroLynx® connectors; they are 6-position and 4-position gold plated Molex connectors.
Conclusion
