Case Study: Superior packaging solutions for reducing external damages to 2-wheelersProblems identified: Transit damages and scratches to 2-wheelers result in higher rejection rate.

Solution by Supreme: Designed and manufactured customized, combination-laminated protective covers and padding for 2-wheelers made of PROTECarmour / PROTECbubble / PROTECcapcell.

Benefit: More than 10% reduction in packing cost and no transit damage.

PROTECarmour: PROTECarmour is non-crosslinked, expanded polyethylene foam of a closed-cell structure which is versatile and protects your product completely.

PROTECbubble: PROTECbubble is

a flexible polymeric film comprising of small air pockets and it provides excellent cushioning and protection against transit damages.

PROTECcapcell: PROTECcapcell is a microcellular, high mechanical strength EVA PE foam and it provides unique advantage of low weight v/s high strength requirement thus improving efficiency.

Did you know? The PROTEC packaging and cushioning range products are environment

friendly and most of the products are 100% recyclable.

The Indian GDP has grown by 8% in the first 2 quarters of this year.

Further, as per the findings of various international research organizations, world protective packaging market is increasing by close to 8% & this trend will continue for the next 3 to 4 years.

Demand is expected to be fueled by rapid development in the country’s manufacturing sector.

Gains may also be propelled by the expansion of India’s urban middle class, the primary consumers of packaged products.

According to AIPMA, India’s plastic consumption in 2010 stood at 9mn tons and has been growing at an annual average rate of 12%. With its true potential, consumption is all set to reach 12.5mn tons by the end of 2012, which will make India the 3rd largest consumer of plastics after US and China.

Supreme’s Protective Packaging Division is geared up for all the upcoming challenges and is confident enough to meet any industry demand through better market understanding, enhancement in the service levels as well as incresing the capacity.

Views on development in the Thermal Insulation Industry in 2012 and beyond:Maintaining environmental balance is crucial as it directly affects health. Thus, handling and treatment of air is a very important aspect which needs consideration from pharma firms. Thermal Insulation Industry is growing and it has good scope in terms of business and knowledge prospect.

A brief on our association with Supreme: We have been associated with Supreme since one and half years and the best thing about them is their fast response time.

Did you know?A Reflective Insulation System (RIS) is typically formed by layers of

Fire Characteristic

Resin Bonded Fibreglass Wool INSUshield

Water Absorption

Application

Ease of Handling

INSUshield crosslinked material is fire retardant, which neither propagates fire, nor releases dense smoke or toxic gases.

Material has negligible water absorption and extremely low vapor transmission. Thus thermal conductivity is not affected under varying atmospheric conditions.

Material is easy to work with and faster to apply. It provides a smooth uniform finish. It requires lower thickness for similar conditions, which saves space for other utilities.

Closed cell material is easy to handle.

INSUflex is a fire retardant closed cell, flexible, elastomeric pre-formed tubing thermal insulation product for application in HVAC piping, split and window ACs, plumbing, waste water drainage pipes, solar piping, cold storage, clean room piping and many more...

Features and Benefits

• A high water vapour diffusion resistance ensures thermal efficiency during low temperature operations.

• Chemically inert, resistant to growth of fungi & vermin.

• Low thermal conductivity of the product provides energy savings and trouble free performance.

• Operating temperature range of (–)55°C to (+)105°C.

• Lightweight and flexible tubing is available in various pipe sizes and thickness combinations for diverse applications.

• Fire retardant quality means safety & protection.

• Odourless

• Fibre free, CFC & HCFC free with zero O.D.P.

Introduction of INSUflex

The binder is combustible and in case of fire, it continues to smolder within the material. This could act as a source of fire itself.

Open cell structure material absorbs moisture leading to increase of thermal conductivity tending towards that of water i.e. a conducting medium.

Application of material requires larger area, is messy and hazardous to health. Fibres released in the atmosphere cause irritation.

The grabbing strength of material is poor.

Material sags in vertical applications.

Advent of Green Buildings

Did you know?DURAfill is developed specifically to perform consistently in a challenging

construction environment using special raw materials and manufacturing

process.

Construction industry all over the world is encouraging the use of eco-friendly building materials in its bid to fight the growing threat of global warming. India’s Green Building footprint has grown from

20,000 sq.ft. in 2001 to projects covering up to 888 million sq.ft. in 2011. There are approximately 1270 registered green buildings and 195 certified green buildings in the

country till date. Buildings have a major impact on the environment throughout their life cycle. Resources such as rubber, metal, wood, etc. get depleted in the construction and operations of buildings. Supreme offers customized solutions for the construction requirements of various segments which are better alter- natives than the current resources. We have already initialized the process to certify some of our products as Green Products for construction applications.

The infrastructure story is set to open a new chapter if the central government goes ahead with its new scheme of Ultra Mega Road Projects (UMRPs). The sheer size of each UMRP - Rs.20,000 crore - envisages a massive transformation of the Indian landscape

Commandment 1 Thou shall not hide: Be visible, be active in the office. Go chat up with your colleagues, give your opinions (without being annoying), crack a joke.

Commandment 2 Thou shall help thy colleagues: Every once in a while volunteer to do someone else’s task in case they have a huge workload. This will show that you are a team player.

Commandment 3 Thou shall come on time: Make a habit of coming 5 minutes early. It shows that you are disciplined and could show similar level of discipline in your work.

Commandment 4 Thou shall keep thy desk clean: Be as organized as you can be. This would prove that you can efficiently organize your tasks as well.

Commandment 5 Thou shall behave: Brush up your office etiquettes and always respect your as well as your colleague’s working space.

1. Take 5 minute breaks after completion of every task so that your brain can prepare itself for the next one.

2. Take a small walk every once in a while to relax your joints and bones as sitting for hours in front of the computer can harm you.

Healthy Work Hours - Enjoying your job is critical for better work productivity.

Even if you're in the right field and in

your dream job, you probably still

need to 'fine tune' things and make

an effort to keep pace with the work

pressure that your job demands.

Companies have realized that

physical and mental fitness in

employees boosts their morale,

enhances productivity, and reduces

absenteeism and signs of burnout or

depression.

Here are some easy everyday

things you can do to get healthy

and fit while at your workplace:

1. Nobody enjoys working in a tense

atmosphere all the time. Make

sure you keep the environment

positive and cheerful to enjoy

your work more.

2. Practice deep breathing

exercises for 5 -10 minutes in

between breaks.

3. Climb stairs instead of using the

elevator.

4. The height of your desk and chair

should be designed keeping

ergonomic principles in mind, to

avoid back and neck aches.

5. Lassi, coconut water and

buttermilk are better drink options

over tea and coffee.

6. Try to do some simple stretching

while sitting on the chair in your

cabin like flexing your feet and

circling your ankles. Stretch your

legs and arms when you feel

stressed out.

Commandmentsto be the IDEALEmployee...5
