PROFESSIONAL TREATMENT SAFETY TIPS Here are a few safety tips that can help ensure safety for both stylist and clients: • Use and apply products according to manufacturer’s directions • All prodcut warnings must be heeded. See product MSDS for details • Proper ventilation should be used, e.g. local ventilation. • Do not work in an enclosed area without access to plenty of fresh air • Stylist must use/wear gloves to prevent skin contact and potential allergy • Safety glasses should be worn to protect eyes from accidental contact • Product should not be applied directly to the client’s scalp • Never provide services to clients with seriously damaged hair or an unhealthy scalp. • Less is more; do not over apply product to the hair.
