HOW HE  DEFINES  HIMSELF   “Fishing too many fishes for too small boats...”. This is what he thinks of himself after more than 40 years of professional life. The horizons that he opens to requestors are immediate but too wide for the limited parameters of the requestors. As a matter of fact, he has always been too fast in attaining the expected goals and the requestors have often accommodated themselves on the victory without searching any larger performance or, what is worse, without realizing that there are two struggles for Victory: one to reach it, and one to keep it. The quick victory that André attains is generally interpreted as a final victory that may dispense with his presence and spare costs. As a result,most of the time things fall down exactly because he has been dismissed too early, without struggling for assuring the stableness of such Victory. It is a fact that “He who spends less spends more”.

 Who is He ? 

A multinational man with several citizenships, carryng into his  DNA  the  records  of  two  Great  Civilizations:  the Egyptian and the Greek ones.    From his mother side, he  inherited  the Greek vocation of phylosophy  by  penetrating  each  single  situation  with profound intellectual analysis.  From  his  father’s  side,  he  inherited  the  Egyptian grandiosity and   religious contemplation arising from   the ancient Egyptian reverence to a Human God residing  into  the body of  Pharaohs.  André Esfathiou was born in Brazil 58 years ago an beside his Brazilian citizenhip he also bears the Greek citizenship, the  South  African  peermanent  visa  and  the  Egyptian descendance.  He  took  the Degree of Public Relations  in 1974 at Methodist 

University  and  in  1975,  he  attended  an  advanced    English 

course  in USA – Vermont .

A TOP MACRO EXPERIENCE During the years ’80, André Efstathiou met the General Consul of South Africa in São Paulo, a brilliant lady of British descendance who was born in South Africa and loved her native country. An immediate affinity joined their lives and they lived together for ten years time, partially in São Paulo and partially in South Africa, where he earned the South African permanent visa.  

During her diplomat mission, André assisted her to reach the targets for which the African Government sent her to Brazil. The main goal was to earn the Brazilian cooperation not only for South Africa but for the whole African Continent, since South Africa was leading the Organization of African Union. (OAU) André could clearly see that Africa needed to convert almost 400 million poor people into “Consumers” by providing employments through a local growth of the industrial and Commercial Park. Brazil could offer a great contribution and André suggested that the diplomat plan of action should be to stimulate the Brazilian industrialists and Economic Groups to set up their affiliates in the African continent, so the Consulate started a large diffusion of the rich natural potentialities of Africa. As a matter of fact, this clear and practical vision of macro consumption was the attractive issue for Brazilian industrialists, traders, and financial institutions who started to send numberless economic projects to the Consulate and André took over the analysis of each single exposition for reporting his opinion. Brazilian industrialists of many areas proposed to open up their plants in Africa, so the projects referred to Mining, Electricity, Civil constructions, Chemical products, Agricultural and Cattle Breeding development, Tourism, Highways and Railways construction for the 53 nations of Africa.

On analysing each single project, André had to define its feasibility and especially its suitability into the global context of a whole continent. Many aspects had to be reported to the African Governments:employments, local raw-material for opening up industries, professional standard of the Brazilian candidates, taxes that each special activity would engender for the governmental works of infrastructure with public roads, bridges, railways,popular dwellings,medical assistance, epidemic eradications, schools and army incrementation. This activity has been carried out for many years and gave André the opportunity to widen his profissional vision and capacity of dealing with macro-economic problems.

Helping to Promote the Economic Cooperation Between Brazil and Africa

Enhancing projects that would engender good taxes for the Government to build popular dwellings

Helping to build a society of consumers made by half billion people waiting for increasing the demand to the most attractive commercial profitability.

■ Working as Management Consultant from 1976 to 1981 at Alexander Proudfoot and Syn Cronamics; 

■ From 1983 to the end of 1991: HE Lived in the Rep.of South Africa and worked for: o Ontrading ‐ Foreign Trade International Consultant as a Business Development Manager o BMW South Africa Rosslyn ‐ Work Study Officer up to Senior o Knox D´Arcy Limited (UK) 

 

■ From l991 to 1994 – Open a sea Restaurant in Brazil (Guarujá), but kept intense correspondence with several                        business associates in Republic of South Africa  

■At the End of 1994, I received a Venture Business Proposition from J.C.B Project at South Africa, and I accepted after a visit from Mr. John C. Blore on April 1995 in Brazil.   

■1995 – Open The Greek Representações Ltda.  

Major goals:

To Find Investor(s) in order to open a Brazilian Share Company and built a Pilot Plant, under  Technology Transfer Agreement, Royalties or License Basis; 

Independent Consultant for African Development companies;  Responsible to introduce G5 Group‐EVERITE Building Products into the Brazilian Market;  Acting as a Business Development Manager for Belgomat Import & Export in Brazil  In October 2003, he  opened up  DAROGA GROUP, in Brazil (www.darogagroup.com  From 2005 on, he  reactivated  the promotion and marketing throughout Brazil of the JCB Family 

Trust, which finalized with  a  Joint‐Venture Agreement  signed  by  the interested parties  in  Ribeirão        Preto city, State of São Paulo.

When BMW launched the car M5, André took over the marketing all over Brazil and coordinated a team of 200 people involved in the project.   

 Thanks to his strategic plan of action and to his motivating enthousiasm, he suceeded in galvanizing of all his cooperators and attained a record of sales in the 27 States of Brazil.

Victory Has Two Phases A few years ago, a South African chemist invented how to make popular houses with a special treatment of sugar-cane bagasse. Thew invention was fantastic and allowed to build houses at the lowest price in the world. André took over the Brazilian marketing of such product and after several articulations he finished by sitting down with the Mayor of São Paulo and other authorities, in order to obtain the final approval. In 2005, an Agreement was finally signed by the Brazilian Government and the South African chemist, who quickly sat upon the victory and dismissed André in order to appoint one of his friends coming from South Africa. As a result, the Agreement, the Signatures and the Project still lie idle on the paper because nothing has moved until today. The appointed “friend” had to go back to Africa for lack of sequence. They all forgot that the victorious “team” shouldn’ t be touched before performing the second second phase: to Keep and Stabilize the Victory.
