Professional Profile Alan LolengIT Director – Asia Pacific, Distribution Business

Alan Loleng is the IT Director for Cummins Asia Pacific Pte Ltd overseeing the Company’s IT strategy, portfolio and operations, and ensuring that IT solutions and services enable the company to meet our customer, financial and operating commitments across the region which includes Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, South Asia, South East Asia, Korea and Japan.

Alan joined Cummins in 2016 in Melbourne as Regional IT Leader for Cummins Business Services, South Pacific and Southeast Asia. He joined Cummins Asia Pacific Distribution in 2018 to lead the IT function. Prior to Cummins, Alan gained more than 25 years of IT experience in the automotive industry.

Born in the Philippines and graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering (Geodetic) from the University of the Philippines, Alan later immigrated to Australia and completed his MBA at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.

Alan currently lives in Melbourne with wife Peachy and two adult children, Pauline and Patrick.

Alex MierDirector - Engine Sales Northeast/Southeast Asia

Alex is currently the Engine Sales Leader in Northeast/Southeast Asia. Alex is responsible for PSBU Engine markets predominantly for the Marine, Mining and Rail markets in NESEA. Alex covers EBU products for the SEA region and is also responsible for Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines DBU engine sales.

Alex joined Cummins in 2005 as Sourcing Manager for Electronics and Natural Gas and had held various leadership positions in CMEP and later in New and ReCon Parts. In 2012 Alex moved to Singapore to lead the Mining efforts in SEA. He has led the regional team since the PSBU was organized in 2016.

Born in Mexico City , Alex holds a Master’s in Business Administration (Finance) from Kelley School of Business, IN USA . He attended University of Oklahoma; OK USA and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Industrial Engineering) as well as Master’s of Science (Operations Research). Alex is finalising a specialisation in Global Leadership at INSEAD.

Alex SavelliExecutive Director, Power Generation Markets – Power Systems

Alex is currently the Executive Director of Cummins Power Generation markets, leading our global sales efforts and interface with regional distribution/ABOs. Alex is also a JV board member of Cummins Cogeneration Limited (Europe/West Africa), Cummins Power Technologies (China), and Berger-Cummins Worldwide Power

Alex joined Cummins in 1994 in Columbus Indiana in the Industrial Marketing group. In his 25-year tenure with Cummins, he has held several other roles within the company in the Engine on-highway and off-highway segments, as well as Power Generation. Currently resident in Minneapolis, MN he has worked out of 3 different US locations (Columbus, Minneapolis and Charleston) and had assignments in Brazil/Latin America, and the United Kingdom/EMEA.

Anderson LimTechnical Sales Support - Power Generation Business

Anderson is the leader for Asia Pacific Technical Sales Support team overseeing the Gas Genset, Consumer and G-drive business. The team is also responsible to provide Up Stream influencing works, technical supports and interface with the segments and product group to develop fit for market products for the region.

Anderson joined Cummins in 1998 as a Regional Sales Manager. In his 20-year tenure with Cummins he has held various roles in Sales, Pricing, Program and Product Planning in Power Generation business.

Andrew Hunnam is the General Manager of Service Development, responsible for developing our Service Capability across all lines of business in the South Pacific region.

Andrew joined Cummins in 2011 as General Manager – Supply Chain after 15 years in various international Operational, Manufacturing and Supply Chain leadership roles, before moving in 2014 into the Service side of the business.

Across the course of his career, he has taken up various roles from Operation Management, Asia Pacific Supply Chain Leadership and Global Logistics Strategy, and now focuses on improving Service Operational Performance and exceeding Customer needs. Andrew has also worked on a number of significant process improvement projects in recent times including Service KPI performance, Guidanz, NPS improvement, Warranty effectiveness, QuickServe process improvement, Service Health Checks and Service Leadership Training.

Ben Lister is the Director of Operations responsible for leadership and management of the branch and dealer network of Cummins South Pacific. He joined Cummins in 2015 as the Aftermarket Director

Ben is an experienced business manager and leader with a 23-year history of accelerating growth and increasing profitability whilst inspiring high performance and results from teams. He has experience in a broad range of industrial markets, products and services. Prior to Cummins Ben worked for Caterpillar, Renold and Shell

Bill KimeGeneral Manager- Cummins Sales and Service Korea (CSSK)

Bill Kime is the General Manager of Cummins Sales and Service Korea (CSSK) with responsibility for daily operations and ensuring that we meet our customer, community, financial and operating commitments across the Korean peninsula.

Bill joined Cummins Crosspoint as the General Manager of the Indianapolis, Indiana facility in June 2007. Following the acquisition of Cummins Crosspoint in 2015, Bill was promoted to VP Ops for the New England Area of the East Region of NADBU. He was responsible for 6 facilities located in New York, Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont and New Hampshire. He assumed responsibility for CSSK in June of 2018.

Born in the small farming community of Bucyrus OH, Bill graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point NY. He then served 5 years as a Military Intelligence Officer including 2 years in Korea.

Married to Terri (KyungAe Suh) with 2 adult sons, Andrew and Michael. The youngest son Michael is a Captain in the US Army and just got married in June. Bill and Terri live in Cheonan, Korea.

Brad Bingert is the General Manager of Cummins Sales and Service Philippines overseeing the Company’s daily operations and ensuring that we meet our customer, community, financial and operating commitments for the country.

Brad joined Cummins Mid-South (US) in 2005 as a Service Engineer. Since that time, he has held a number of positions including Engineering Manager and Director of Customer Support.

Brian Smith is the Director for Engine Business for Cummins Asia Pacific Pte Ltd overseeing the Engine Sales teams and ensuring that we meet both DBU and PSBU financial objectives as well as our customer and community obligations across the Asia Pacific region.

Brian joined Cummins in 1984 in Mount Gambier, South Australia, as a Field Service Technician. Across the course of his 35 year career, Brian has progressed to various leadership positions within Distributor Operations, Engine Sales and Power Generation Sales and has had an international assignment from 2000 – 2003 with Cummins Singapore.

Born in Scotland and immigrating to Australia with his parents and sister in 1964, Brian completed a Diploma in Business Administration with Victorian University of Technology in 1999.

Married to Sue and with two adult sons, Daniel and Rhys, Brian now lives in Brisbane, Australia.

Claire Dai is the General Manager for the Cummins Singapore Distributor operations, responsible for the day to day operations and delivering of our customer, community, financial and operating commitments for the Singapore distributor.

Claire joined Cummins in 2010 and during her 8+ years with Cummins, she has taken roles ranging from Global Strategy, Regional Parts Marketing and Product Management, Pricing and currently as the General Manager. Prior to Cummins, she has experience working in the banking industry as well as in the Singapore public sector.

Born in Singapore, Claire has a double degree in Business Management and Economics from the Singapore Management University.

Don Puar is the Director for Power Generation Business overseeing the Power Generation Sales teams and ensuring that we meet both DBU and PSBU financial objectives as well as our customer and community obligations across the Asia Pacific region.

Don joined Cummins in 1993 as a Contract Engineer, which was incidentally his first job after serving the Republic Of Navy for six years. In his 26-year tenure with Cummins he has held several other roles within the Power Generation Business including Global Contract and regional sales. Currently resident in Singapore, he has had overseas assignments in the United Kingdom from 2001-2004.

Feroze ChowdaryAPAC General Manager (Filtration)

Feroze Chowdary is the APAC General Manager (Filtration), overseeing the region’s daily operations.

With over two decades of experience in various roles within Cummins Filtration both in Australia, USA and Africa, Feroze relocated back to Australia in January 2017.

Feroze is passionate about implementing the DRIVE culture within the region to ensure the success of the company and its people.

Gagan Chanana has overall responsibility of managing the Powergen, Distribution & Defence Business at Jakson Group. In this role, he provides strategic direction for the growth of the Cummins-Jakson range of gensets business in India and Nepal, Cummins aftermarket dealership and Global Training Centre facility. He also manages independent distributorship business of Cummins Singapore in Bangladesh. Gagan leads Jakson’s relationship with Cummins and has overall responsibility for strategic planning and P&L for this business at Jakson.

Gagan is a mechanical engineer with over 29 years’ experience in the power sector and has been associated with Jakson for 17 years. In the past, he has worked with Greaves Cotton, India.

Gagan was born in Amritsar, Punjab and raised in Chandigarh, India. His interests include cricket, listening to music and travelling.

Jason has been with Cummins for 14 years and has experience across different countries, businesses (RDO, EMB, China ABO, New & ReCon Parts, DBU) and functions, including Business Development and Strategy, Sales and Marketing and General Management. He has worked in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (4 years), Singapore (5 Years) and Beijing, China (5 years).

Prior to his appointment as General Manager of Malaysia in 2016, Jason was General Manager for Singapore in 2015. During his tenure, he oversaw the business operations in the country and established strong customer relationships with key accounts.

John BortolussiDirector – Engineering, Asia Pacific, Distribution Business


John is the Director Engineering for Cummins Asia Pacific, leading the overall engineering function for the region. Engineering in Asia Pacific includes Application Engineering, Service Engineering and Packaged Product Design, supporting all lines of business.

John joined Cummins in Scoresby in 1988 as DFSE, after which as application engineer, before progressing to Engineering leadership over most of his 30 years with Cummins. He held business leadership roles as Area Director NSW, Power Generation DBU and leadership responsibility for Scoresby Recon 2007-2009.

Julia UtanDirector – Parts and Service – Cummins South Pacific

Julia Utan is Director – Parts & Service for Cummins South Pacific. Julia oversees the parts and service team which is a cross-functional support department with the mission to transform business capabilities and drive growth through innovative solutions to power customer success.

Julia joined Cummins South Pacific in October 2017. Prior to joining Cummins, she was Head of Special Original Equipment for HELLA Australia where she was responsible for sales and product management in the mining, construction, agriculture, marine, leisure vehicle and transportation industries. Julia started her career with Caterpillar as a mechanical engineer in the truck engine division. During her 12 years at Caterpillar, she held a variety of positions in sales & marketing, equipment management, parts and service territory management and 6 Sigma roles.

Julia holds a Bachelor of Engineering and MBA (Masters of Business Administration) and is a certified Black Belt.

Kate Teixeira Senior Counsel - Asia Pacific, Distribution Business

Kate started out her legal career in 1999 at a law firm in Melbourne practicing in Employment Law, HSE Compliance, and Litigation. Following which she moved through generalist commercial inhouse roles at the Plumbing Industry Commission, Proclaim and PWC.

Kate joined Cummins in 2009 as Corporate Counsel for Asia Pacific. Kate is now Senior Counsel for Asia Pacific and DBU International and reports to Terren Magid. Kate and her team are responsible for all legal work in the region including commercial/transactions, employment, litigation and property. As well as managing the region’s legal work, Kate sits on the Asia Pacific Leadership Team, is a co-sponsor of the Cummins Powers Women initiative, sits on the region’s Ethics and Compliance council, is the Wellness sponsor for Asia Pacific and the legal function, and is a co-sponsor for Diversity and Inclusion in Asia Pacific.

Lauren WhiteHuman Resource Director – Asia Pacific Region Lauren White is the Director for Human Resources for Cummins Asia Pacific.

The region includes Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, South Asia, South East Asia, Korea and Japan. Lauren directly leads and manages the HR organization in the region and is responsible to drive teamwork and collaboration across various HR teams in the Business Segments, Corporate and CBS organizations.

Lauren joined Cummins South Pacific in 2011 as the Central Region HR Manager located in Wetherill Park NSW. Lauren then relocated to Perth WA, as the Western Region HR Manager where her role grew to supporting the Western Region, Mining and Engineering groups. In 2014, Lauren relocated to Melbourne and became the South Pacific HR Operations Excellence Leader. This role expanded in 2017 to include all of Asia Pacific, driving common and consistent HR process across the region. In 2018, Lauren became the HR Leader for Functions in Asia Pacific and in June 2019 became the HR Director for Asia Pacific.

Born in Western Sydney NSW, Lauren studied a bachelor of Business –Human Resources Management at Edith Cowan University and currently lives in Melbourne with her husband Peter and 2 year old daughter Piper.

Professional Profile Marina SavelliExecutive Director, Global Sales and Service

Marina Savelli is the Executive Director of Global Sales and Service, responsible for setting direction and building consistent global capabilities to enhance the customer experience and drive business growth. She also leads the central Product and Engineering function in the deployment of DBU products.

Marina began her career at Cummins in 1994. Over the past 25 years, she’s held a variety of roles in Filtration, Finance, General Management, Purchasing Strategy and Marketing. She’s had regional roles in US, Belgium, France, and Brazil, and has led multiple global organizations. Some of her key accomplishments include establishing the CES purchasing organization and Off-Hwy line of business, leading several T4F product launches, and establishing the Market Insights group.

Marina holds an MBA from the University of Indianapolis, and is a certified Six Sigma green belt.

Marina is a native of Brazil, Marina moved to the United States in 1992. She is fluent in French, Spanish, and Portuguese. She is married to Eduardo and has two children, Julia (18) and Raphael (16).

Michael HicklingSales Director – Industrial Business CSP

Michael Hickling is the Sales Director for the South Pacific Industrial Business overseeing the sales team and he is responsible for wholegood sales in the following markets, Agriculture, Construction, Mining, Marine, Rail and Automotive.

Michael joined Cummins as a diesel technician over 25 years ago, he worked in the service department for 10 years before moving into capital equipment sales in 2005. He has been in his current role as Sales Director for the past 7 years.

Born in Newcastle, NSW, Australia, Michael completed his apprenticeship with the Australian ARMY before returning home to Newcastle and starting his career with Cummins. He completed his Masters Degree in Business at Newcastle University in 2009.

Mike FowlerDirector, On Highway Business – Cummins South Pacific


Mike is the on-highway leader for the South Pacific region in this capacity, he has general management responsibility for the Engine Business regional LOB and overall market segment leadership for all On highway segments including Pick up, LCV, Bus, Medium and Heavy duty truck. On addition, Mike is an active member both the South Pacific and global on-highway leadership teams.

Mike began his career in 1994 as an apprentice technician at our Newcastle branch and has since progressive through the company in various leadership role across several distributor parts, service and sale functions and application segments. Mike has led the on highway engine business since 2009.

Married to Natalie with adolescent children Bryson, Liam and Zoe. Mike lives on the Mornington Peninsula near Melbourne and enjoys off shore fishing, surf ski paddling and going to the gym.

Mike SharpDirector – APAC Strategic Initiatives

Mike Sharp is the Director for strategic initiatives across the Asia Pacific region. Mike leads strategy and provides leadership and support to strategic projects across the region. In addition to his strategic initiatives leadership responsibilities, Mike acts as Chief of Staff for the Asia Pacific Leadership Team.

Mike joined Cummins in 1990 in the distribution business and has had roles across his 28 years with Cummins covering aftermarket sales, branch management, key account management, talent management, right environment, General Management and had overseas assignments in Singapore, USA and recently served as the Managing Director of Cummins Arabia; a 50/50 unconsolidated joint venture covering UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait distributor operations.

Married to Fella, Mike has recently returned to live in Melbourne.

Murray CliffordManager – Communications & PR, Cummins Asia Pacific


A New Zealand trained journalist and professional photographer, Murray joined Cummins South Pacific in 1999 as Manager – Communications & PR. In recent years he has been involved in comms for SE/NE Asia, mainly through Cummins Commentary magazine.

Prior to joining Cummins, Murray held roles as chief editor for several leading Australian trucking publications and as publishing director for Thomson Publications which had over 30 industrial titles. On joining Cummins, he was charged with developing a high-level publication – Cummins Commentary –aimed at end-user customers. Today, Cummins Commentary South Pacific has a distribution of 18,000 copies (4,000 when started), while Cummins Commentary SE/NE Asia has a distribution of 10,000 copies. Murray has developed close relationships with many Cummins customers in the Asia Pacific region through his work on Cummins Commentary.

Murray’s role as communications manager includes various other functions including media management, press releases, speech writing, brochure and advertising material development, overseeing copy for social media, and support for major events and shows.

N. Merritt BeckerManaging Director, Cummins DKSH JV Southeast Asia

Merritt Becker is the Managing Director of the joint venture between Cummins Inc. (USA) and DKSH Ltd. (Switzerland) accountable for the Cummins business in Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam.

Merritt joined Cummins in 2010 as an executive of the Cummins Crosspoint distributor based in Indianapolis, IN USA. He has more than 30 years of experience in most facets of the global diesel engine, vehicle, equipment, and power generation business. He specializes in aftermarket sales and services including channel management, leveraging his experience with global business development, military programs, and large joint ventures.

He served 10 years as a IT systems engineer and program director with EDS/AT Kearny and started and led the Crosspoint Kinetics electrified powertrain subsidiary until sold in 2015.

Merritt holds a Bachelors degree in Microbiology from Indiana University (USA) and an MBA from Northwestern University’s (USA), Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Nathan HowellSales Director – Power Generation, Cummins South Pacific Pte Ltd

Nathan Howell is the Sales Director for Cummins Power Generation South Pacific Asia Pte Ltd leading and overseeing the Sales organisation ensuring that we meet both DBU and PSBU financial objectives as well as our customer and community obligations across the South Pacific region.

Nathan joined Cummins in September 2018 in the Australian head office, Scoresby. Prior to joining Nathan spent the previous 15 years with Global Energy Management & Automation specialist, Schneider Electric. In his 15 year tenure with Schneider Electric he held several other roles including Channel Management, Sales & Management. From 2013 Nathan held the position of General Manager leading the sales & commercial operations of multi channel, direct and in-direct, business streams fulfilling Power Distribution, Building Automation, Lighting Control and Critical Power needs within the Mission Critical, Commercial and Industrial markets.

Steph joined Cummins in the role of Director Finance, Cummins South Pacific in 2013. Steph was promoted to the role of Director Operations responsible for 35 branches and 1,200 employees and has held the role of Managing Director since 2017, based in Melbourne.

Stephen Cummins is the Director Power Systems for Cummins South Pacific responsible for the Mining, Oil, Gas & supporting the HHP prime business across the region.

Stephen is a long term employee starting at Cummins as an apprentice technician in Sydney, Australia. He moved on to various roles in service and sales leading up to General Manager roles in Service and Aftermarket, before moving to the UK to support the Europe Middle East & African customer base, Steve also spent time in the leadership of the Cummins Distributors in Germany, Belgium and Italy before heading to the Middle East as General Manager responsible for the implementation of the ME distribution strategy .

Steve is now based in Brisbane Australia where Cummins South Pacific operate one our regional master rebuild Centre's.

Tony has been General Manager for the Cummins DKSH JV operations in Myanmar since January 2016. Overseeing the start-up of Myanmar operations for the Cummins JV which has seen the transition from a single customer-single market support operation to multi customer-multi market.

He first joined Cummins as Branch Manager progressing to Manager London Operations and then Regional Operations Manager. As ROM he was responsible for the 6 locations in his territory and under his leadership the Branches in West Thurrock and Iver were awarded UK Branch of the Year in 2007 and 2008 respectively.
