We have one of the UK’s largest and most experienced Professional Indemnity teams. We employ over 140 Professional Indemnity specialists and our business leaders across claims, broking and account management all have over 25 years’ experience. We recognise the importance of developing strong relationships with both your business and your insurers.
We are renowned for developing market leading policy wordings. Where cover requires tailoring to meet a specific business need we have the knowledge to identify the requirement, the expertise to design the solution and the negotiating strength with insurers to deliver it.

To consistently fulfil our mission to attract and retain great people we have awarded shares in Hyperion, Howden’s parent company, to many of our employees, motivating them to collectively deliver success and allowing them to share in that success. Employee share ownership helps improve retention which is critical to delivering a consistently high level of service. Other insurance brokers have undergone regular changes of ownership and personnel but our team has remained comparatively stable. Over 50% of our employees have been with the business (or the acquired business) for over 5 years and almost 20% for over 15 years.
We operate a flat organisation structure ensuring that our Executive Directors and Directors can continue to manage accounts, develop less experienced team members and maintain strong relationships with our clients and insurers.

That is why we employ one of the UK’s largest in-house Professional Indemnity claims handling teams with over 30 members of staff, many with over 20 years’ experience. We have handled over £500m of paid claims since 2008. We offer you a proven track record you can trust.

Whilst many organisations maintain a close eye on their most expensive and seemingly critical insurances, for example Professional Indemnity, it is not uncommon for other forms of insurance to be rolled over year after year with little or no verification of whether they remain appropriate to business needs.
