• Outreach programmes held in remote rural locations, to generate awareness as well as set best practice for local medical professionals and other staff on timely referral of patients to hospitals for various conditions. One such programme was held in 2005 in the aftermath of the tsunami which also provided short-term care and counselling for those affected. In 2001, a programme was held in the hill town of Udhagamandalam to help tribal residents, among others, and similarly in Kancheepuram district of Tamil Nadu.

• A charitable trust in the field of gastroenterology started was started and it continues to help patients – the GE Care Trust.

• Outreach support group is being run for a specific group of patients, the Esophageal Patient Support Organisation (EPSO).
