Working title for film Deadly Friendship

Idea or theme My idea for my short drama is based on a crime thriller. The drama tells the story about how revenge and spite can make people do the most horrific things to the people that they are meant to care about.

Outline of the narrative

The storyline of the drama is set when two best friends Phoebe and Rachel who have been friends for years meet up one night to spend some time together as they are haven't spent much time together because of college. However for Phoebe, the meeting is to get some answers to a rumour that has started about her which is based on something that she only told Rachel. As she asks her about it Rachel feels betrayed and she shouts and turns to walk away Phoebe picks up a brick and hits her over the head. As Rachel lays there in front of Phoebe she believes that she has killed her. But she doesn't want to go to prison so intend of calling for help she chooses to hide what she has done, by hiding her friends body. So drives her friend’s body to the beach remembering of a case where a girl drowned by falling in. As he drives home she gets a call from her friend’s parents looking for her. She tells them that she had left her last night and reminds with that story. Rachel is reported missing and the search for her continues and is run by Police Detective Sergeant Lauren Wray. As the search starts, the reports of a body on the headland beach is reported and later is found to be Rachel. The focus starts to pin on Phoebe by her strange behaviour and how she has cut herself away. Soon she is brought into questioning and is shown the evidence against her and in the end she confesses, unable to hide it anymore. Then she is told the shocking truth that Rachel had drowned in the sea and hadn’t died before of her head wound.
