Production Log
Here is my base of my model I’m starting off with just a basic circular ball and I’ve already shaded the ball as a purple colour to make it stand out.
I’ve now multishifted the back of my model to create the engine of my robot.
Now I have done what I did on the back on the front but with a larger curve inwards and this is to create my robots eye, later on I will change the colour of
the pupil to give it a more diverse look.
In this printscreen, you can see where I’ve sketched out the sides of the robot and this is where the dents going inwards will be that will give my robot a more
unique look.
I have now made the dents in the sides of my robot and this is to reveal my robots core allowing it to have a more unique look.
After finishing off creating all the sides of my robot I begin to surface him giving him different colours to make my model stand out.
After surfacing my the left and right side I begin to surface the front and back of my robot, and I also surfaced the eye and pupil 2 different colours.
I now repeat the process for my eye on my engine to give it some flare.
After surfacing my model I transfer it over to Layout to add textures etc.
Now after taking some keyframe pictures of my robot, I begin to use surface editor to give my robots shell a more metal like appearance and I give the engine, eye and core a more glow-like look to make it look more realistic as if it is alive.
Here is what my finished and fully surfaced robot looks like in modeler before being rendered.
Here is my finished model fully rendered, as you can see my robot is hovering and the surfaces I applied have taken affected.
