For hundreds of years, crops were cultivated not only for higher yields, but also for greater storability. Before the technology existed to preserve perishable foods, a desirable crop not only grew well in adverse conditions, but could also be kept fresh for long periods of time. 300 years ago, an apple called the Uttwiler Spätlauber was just such a crop. Originally cultivated in Switzerland, this apple had a reputation for staying fresh longer than any other variety. At the time, science could not explain why this apple stayed fresh, and it was not until recently that scientists found that the secret of the apple’s resistance to decay and environmental damage was hidden in the cellular makeup of this little known variety. A: One of the ingredients is Vitamin C that is a potent antioxidant and can tingle those with sensitive skin. Most skin will acclimate to the potency of the vitamin C so if you experience tingling, use only once daily and increase to twice daily as tolerated.

Q: I noticed that I broke out after I started using the products.

A: Whenever you start using a new skin care line, it is normal for a small number of individuals to experience a few breakouts within the first 10 days of using the product. This is due to a change in the pH of the skin from the new product. Continue to use the product as your skin adjusts. Rarely do clients experience breakouts from the potency of the stem cell extracts. These breakouts are the result of already formed pimples that were sitting below the skin that advance to the skin surface more quickly with increased cell turnover. The breakouts will typically resolve as your skin adjusts.
