Moberly Area Community College is accepting sealed bids for the purchase of five hundred (500) banquet chairs and two (2) seating carts for the Main Building Auditorium located on the Moberly Campus. MityLite warrants its chair fabric, foam, seat base and paint for a period of one [1] year from the date of purchase. Customer’s Own Material must meet MityLite standards. Upholstery is NOT warranted for outdoor use.

Frame: The front, back, and legs are made of .875” [22.2mm], 18 gauge [1.3mm] tubular steel. The seat support is made of .5” [12.7cm], 18 gauge [1.3mm] tubular steel. A high grade Argon gas mixture is used for clean, smooth, and strong welds. Each weld is approximately 1” [25.4cm] long. The leg is welded in 7 places.

Glides: The glides are nickel-plated with a rubber compression spacer to absorb shock.

Stack Bar and Ganging: The stack bar is standard and is made of 0.5” [12.7mm], 18 gauge [1.3mm] tubular steel. Two optional ganging devices are available including a 16 gauge [1.5mm] steel stack bar ganging device that is welded to the stack bar and is compatible with the Shelby Williams® ganging system. The frame ganging device is comprised of 3/16” [4.8mm] solid steel rod and is welded to the seat frame. The gap between chairs when ganged is 2 7/8” between seat cushions for stack bar ganging and 3 1/4” between seat cushion for frame ganging.

Anti-Sway Bars: Made of .5” [12.7mm] 18 guage [1.3mm] tubular steel and add to the stability of the steel frame.

Frame Finish: Finish is an electrostatically applied powder coat-ing over a phosphate treated steel frame. The powder is cured in a computer-controlled oven for enhanced precision and extended durability. A clear topcoat is available for an additional charge.

Stack Buttons: Eight stack buttons protect the finish and stabilize the legs when the chairs are stacked.

Back: The upholstery and foam are stapled to an injection molded polypropylene insert, which is attached to the chair back frame. Foam is .75” [1.9cm] thick [front of backrest], .25” [.6cm] thick [back of backrest] polyurethane.

Flex-Back: Full flex travel is 5.5 inches +/- .25”, and has been successfully tested to more than 1,000,000 full cycles. Patented flex device features a unique fail-safe apparatus with all parts and mechanisms located internally to avoid pinch points.

Seat: The upholstery and foam are stapled to an injection molded polypropylene seat base. Optional FormFlex™ seat base features concentric oval patterns designed to flex with the weight of the user (patented). The seat attaches to the chair via three molded-in front tabs inserted into corresponding attachment points in the steel frame, and four molded-in rear clips which snap around the underside seat support. Foam is 2.5” [6cm] thick high-resiliency 2.8 lb. MDI polyurethane.
