ABB’s simulation and offl ine programming software, RobotStudio, allows robot programming to be done on a PC in the offi ce without shutting down produc-tion. It also enables robot programs to be prepared in advance, increasing overall productivity. RobotStudio provides the tools to increase the profi tability of your robot system by letting you perform tasks such as training, program-ming and optimization without disturbing production.

RobotStudio is built on the ABB VirtualController, an exact copy of the real software that runs your robots in production. It thus allows very realistic simu-lations to be performed, using real robot programs and confi guration fi les identical to those used on the shop fl oor.

RobotStudio makes programming of Multi Move systems easy. From the infi -nite number of possible solutions to splitting a job between several robots. RobotStudio automatically generates a path for each robot that results in the shortest combined joint motion, taking restrictions such as joint limits or tool orientation limits into consideration.

WebWare is a software product that helps customers to increase the produc-tivity and uptime of their robot systems. WebWare makes this possible by safeguarding robot data and providing actionable information.

WebWare assists robot technicians as well as production supervisors in identifying the causes of robot failures, backing up their robot systems and examining production trends over time. WebWare makes this information easily accessible through Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Robot Application Builder is a Software Development Kit (SDK) that allows customers to customize their robot operator interfaces quickly, easily and at low cost.

Robot Application Builder consists of a toolbox of functions that give custom-ers access to all features in ABB’s IRC5 controller.

In combination with Microsoft’s VisualStudio.NET, Robot Application Builder provides great means to create custom operator interfaces for either the ABB FlexPendant or a PC platform.

Tightly integrated with the IRC5 or S4Cplus robot control system, PickMaster is the best tool for guiding robots in the packaging pro-cess. The PC-based software product uses comprehensive graphi-cal interfaces to confi gure powerful applications where up to eight robots may work in a team along conveyor belts.

Packaging software

Plastics softwareRobotWare Plastics - Mould is the new software product from

ABB for easy programming and operation of ABB robots used for plastics injection molding applications. Production becomes more effi cient all through installation, production set-up and optimization of the robot cycle, regardless of whether you produce mobile tele-phones or car bumpers.

RW Plastics - Mould minimizes the learning curve, setup time, error recovery time and improves error diagnostic accuracy. The keyword is EASY.

RW Plastics - Mould is available for the following robots: IRB140, 1400, 1600, 2400, 4400, 6600 and their variants.

RobView is a PC-based software product for monitoring, supervis-ing and controlling robots and equipment in a work cell.

This effective tool is designed to access data in the robots and give operators full control. It is an end-user application that lets the cus-tomer visualize data in the robots on a PC.

The user can design his own screens, buttons and signals, without programming, just by fi lling in defi nitions and properties in easy to use dialog boxes.

RobotWare spot welding options are designed to be both general and fl exible software platforms for creating customized and easy-to-use function packages for different types of spot welding systems.

The options provide powerful spot welding instructions for fast and accurate positioning combined with gun manipulation, process initiation and supervision of the weld equipment. Optimized motion and process control gives shorter time per spot.

RobotWare options are Spot, Spot Multiple Guns, Spot Servo, Spot Servo Multiple Guns, Spot Servo Equalizing and Servo Tool Change.

Spot Welding software

ShopFloor Editor is an effi cient RAPID program editor designed for process optimization and program editing on the shop fl oor.

ShopFloor Editor allows you to edit RAPID programs off-line without interrupting production thereby increasing the uptime of the robot booth. The off-line program is mostly used for paint robot program-ming.

Painting software
