The UNIVERGE SV9100 is available in two chassis sizes 9.5 with three slots or 19 chassis with six slots. The interface boards are small and are front loaded in the UNIVERGE SV9100 chassis. The

boards come with two screw pins that easily screw into the chassis. The connectors face the front of the

chassis for easy access. The connector wires run through the front of the chassis, providing for easier

    installation.

The 9.5 chassis provides 32 TDM extension ports. The 19 chassis provides 80 TDM extension ports and can be expanded, using three additional 19 chassis, to 368 TDM extension ports. Through IP connection and four additional 19 chassis, the system can be expanded to a maximum of 896 station ports. For IP extensions, only a single chassis is sufficient.

The UNIVERGE SV9100 is designed to work with the DT400 series digital telephones and DT800

series IP telephones. Besides, the SV9100 can provide legacy line/trunk interfaces to support the

existing Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) based infrastructure, such as analogue trunk lines,

analogue networks (E&M) , digital trunk lines (ISDN) and digital networks (QSIG).

Communications between legacy extensions and/or trunks and DT800 series IP telephones and/or IP

networks are made via a VoIP daughterboard, which converts packet-based voice data to TDM-based

voice data, and vice versa. Both peer-to-peer connections and TDM-based connections are controlled

by the CPU blade. The CPU incorporates a built-in Device Registration Server (DRS) and a single

4.1 Powerful CPU Blade with Built-in Functionalities The GCD-CP10 controls all the functions and operations of the SV9100 system. The system software is

loaded in into the CD-CP00 memory and can be upgraded as new software becomes available.

    The GCD-CP10 functions are:

    Call Control Server

    RTP Forwarding

VoCoder Conversion (requires a VoIP Daughter card)

    Conference Bridge Server

    Voice Mail Server

    SIP Server

The GCD-CP10 also provides some interfaces for external equipment to be connected to the SV9100

    system:

USB Memory Connection (used for upgrading software or downloading system data)

Ethernet Cable Connection (for PC Pro or WebPro, CTI, etc.)

3.5mm Pin Jack for External Source Connection (Music On Hold, Back Ground Music, etc.)

3.5mm Pin Jack for External Connection (External speaker, etc.)

    RJ61 External Source Control Connection

4.2 Easy Installation For the O&M a PC application with enhanced user interface, called PC Pro or web based version

WebPro, is used. The UNIVERGE SV9100 PC Pro/WebPro is an instrumental troubleshooting tool that

empowers your system administrator to manage the communication server and provides them with the

    functionality needed to simplify communications.

PC Pro/WebPro helps you manage your communication server simply and easily. SV9100 PC

Pro/WebPro provides multiple user interface options. Standard View combines related settings on one

screen, allowing quick setup of high-level tasks. Settings on these screens work together to provide

users a better understanding of screen relationships. Standard screens are identified by name which

    clearly indicates their function.

Another option is to use wizards to simplify programming. PC Pro/WebPro wizards chronologically

group System Data and guide users during feature setup. PC Pro supports Quick Setup and provides

easy setup (system data programming) for a basic and advanced system configuration in shorter time.

Most boards are hot-swappable, reducing the down time of the PABX system in case boards are to

added or replaced. Cable connectors (RJ-45 or RJ-61) are located on the front panel of each chassis and

blade, increasing efficiency of the cabling work.

4.3 UNIVERGE SV9100 NetLink The NetLink feature allows up to 50 (refer to configuration guide) UNIVERGE SV9100

Communications Servers to be linked together over a Data Communication IP Network, acting as one

system. This results in resources and features being transparently shared between the Main Site and

Remote Sites. Systems can be installed separately in one building, or between remote offices via a

qualified IP network. With NetLink, the maximum system capacities apply (400 Trunks and 896 Stations); however the ports

can be distributed between sites using SV9100 chassis (CHS2UG-EU) at each location.

The advantage to NetLink over Feature Networking over IP (AspireNet) and K-CCIS is that the sites

are viewed as a single image; therefore all features, applications and programming are supported

between sites. For further details refer to SV9100 Configuration guide.

4.5 UNIVERGE SV9100 ACD The SV9100 ACD facilitates handling high call volume with a minimum number of resources while

reducing caller hold time and distributing call volume evenly among employees. Callers are given the

option of either immediately leaving a message for agent call-back, or holding for an agent. Those who

wish to hold, hear initial and repeating announcements encouraging them to remain in the call queue.

This prevents callers from hanging-up and reduces lost calls, thereby helping improve employee

    efficiency and streamline staffing.

The SV9100 ACD supports you in improving performance and service levels by adding efficiency

    enhancing features:

Calls are routed to the longest waiting free agent and if all agents are busy the calls are held in a call queue. You determine how long that call queue should be. If it is set to six calls, then the

seventh caller will receive a busy tone. Alternatively, after a preset time, queued callers can be

routed automatically to an overflow group or staff, further encouraging flexibility.

If using the Skill Based Routing option calls are delivered based on the skill level of the agent, offering to the highest skilled for that group first.

Using the SV9100 InMail Voice Response module, holding messages and/or music can be played to waiting callers to reduce abandoned call levels, or they can be requested to leave a

    voice message.

The SV9100 ACD can be configured to enable callers waiting in queue to dial another extension, ACD Group, or voice mail box during message playback.

The supervisor can be alerted to waiting times exceeding target thresholds, therefore allowing management action to be taken.

Callers presented with customized choices tend to be more satisfied with the level of service received.

When used in conjunction with the MyCalls Call Centre Product giving Real time Status, Reporting and

control, gives a powerful Call Centre Solution.

4.6 Installation Type To meet the specific needs of the customers environment, the SV9100 provides the various installation methods as follows:

4.10 Mobility A number of mobility options are available on the SV9100. These solutions allow a portable handset to

be used in and out of the office while still allowing high feature levels.

    IP DECT

    VoWLAN

    Mobile Extension

    IP DECT

Business Mobility IP DECT is a solution that combines the benefits of IP telephony with the superior

quality and facilities of the well-established DECT technology, providing perfect voice quality,

seamless handover between cells and a secure air interface. With Business Mobility IP DECT, a single

converged network can be used to provide both fixed and wireless telephony, thus reducing dedicated

cabling requirements to the bare minimum.

IP DECT has considerable cost benefits over competing technologies in that it saves on cabling costs by

using a converged network, has built in handover between cells and built in high quality of speech thus

removing the requirement for expensive WLAN servers and requires significantly fewer Access Points

    than a VoWLAN solution.

In addition to this the handsets are extremely cost effective, are robust and have a long battery life. This

is vital in various environments such as hoteliers can deploy DECT handsets to all mobile staff. All of

this ensures the cost of ownership of the solution is as low as possible.

    Access Points

    VoWLAN

The MH150 Handset can be used to provide standard SIP telephony functionality.

    Mobile Extension

Mobile Extension is a superb way of keeping one point of contact wherever you are. Typically used

with a GSM handset but can be used with many other phone connections. It effectively allows your

mobile phone to become an extension of the office system, DDI calls ring through the SV9100 to your

phone so only one point of contact required. While on a call you can place the call on hold (plus many

other features) and transfer to a deskphone in the office. By calling in on your own DDI from the

mobile you can access dialtone and perform and dial out as though on the premises.

An excellent solution for those out of the office on a regular basis.

4.11 Hospitality A number of hospitality options are available on the SV9100.

    PMS Lite

    PMS Adaptor

    Tiger Cub/Pro

    PMS Lite

PMS Lite is a complete Front Of House (FOH) solution, providing the Hospitality Software for

managing such functions as reservations, check in/out etc. The software interface directly to the

SV8100. For Hotels up to 75 rooms this is an ideal easy to install easy to manage solution.

    PMS Adaptor

The PMS Adaptor is an external connecting via IP to the SV9100 and Front Of House software. It

converts the proprietary SV9100 Hotel/Motel interface to a Fidelio FIAS interface allowing FIAS

compliant FOH software to integrate with the SV9100.

    Tiger Cub/Pro

Tiger Cub/Pro is middleware for integrating a large number of FOH interfaces rather than FIAS. It

converts the SV9100 Proprietary Hotel/Motel interface to that required by the FOH package. This is a

very flexible solution allowing almost any Hotel software to integrate with the SV9100.

4.12 System Configuration The SV9100 consists of one or more 2U Chassis depending on the system configuration.

The first 2U Chassis always mounts a CPU blade. Optionally various Legacy Line/Trunk Blades,

    Application Blades are mounted.

The CPU blade in 19 2U Chassis can control maximum four (4) 2U Chassis, including the chassis the CPU is mounted in. When for legacy line/trunk blades more chassis are required than can be supported

by a single CPU, the NetLink feature come in place to combine 2 stacks of 2U chassis to one single

    system.

System configuration is done using the Prophix tool. Based on the user input with respect the required

quantity of extension, the type and needed functionality the Prophix tool calculates the required

hardware, licenses and recommends a shelf layout how the diverse boards should be mounted to have a

    proper working system.

Just for information, some maximum system capacity figures with respect to configuration rules are

listed below. Please take note that this information is only for information and might not be complete
