G&W offers a variety of solid dielectric reclosers designed to provide overcurrent protection on distribution systems. The Viper product line offers unmatched safety features such as a unique redun-dant mechanical block and a fail-safe trip spring in the magnetic actuator. SF6 gas provides excellent electrical properties and offers many advantages compared to other dielectrics.

Switches can be operated either manually or electrically through various distribution automa-tion packages.
