Concepts

Concept 1

The idea was inspired from the cartons, Easy to open and close

Concept 2

Make it easily collapsible

Concept 3

The columns can be removed easily, and all the four columns can be brought together close to each other which makes it easy for transportation

Simple Product Design Course Duration : 4 Weeks

Brainstorming

Design Brief

Prototype

The whole structure was made out of the materials which are cheap and readily available everywhere.

Flex was stitched all around the pvc pipes acting as wall and door was made out of wooden frames and flex was nailed to it.

Walls : Flex (recyclable) Columns : PVC pipes Door : wooden frames

Design brief To Design a package for a paste so that the content remain fresh and healthy.

Need statement

Our objective was to design a package for Nilon’s ginger garlic paste so that there is no wastage and it

remains fresh and healthy till the last bit of it

Studying the existing packaging

Concepts

Concept 1

The form was inspired from the khalbatta, to relate it with freshness and give a homemade feeling

Concept 2

These are different variants inspired from the outer form of the garlic itself, which is bulbous

Packaging Design

Jar : Rotational molding Lid : Injection molding (Press fit)

Wider mouth for easy accessibility and spoon maneuverability

The khalbatta with garlic paste in it is used for freshness and give a homemade feel

Jar : Food grade plastic (PET) Reusable / disposable Lid : HIPS

Initially the form was inspired from the traditional jars which were used to keep pickles in olden times and further it was simplified with an essence of homemade

Transparent to check the freshness of paste

No corner bottom, to avoid the wastage of the paste

Manufacturing process

Prototype of 100 gm Jar Materials Bottle is made from Acrylic. Vaccum Forming . Lid is made from HIPS

Design brief Design a kiosk application, to assist the consumer in availing the saving services of the India post.

Need Statement

The main ideas was to design an application which will be easy for them to use and give them information about the financial services

so that it gets easy for them to know about schemes and its details as per there need without enquiring anyone in the post office. Kiosk application will also help people in creating awareness about the services.

Task flow: The flow was decided by the hierarchy of the information required

Personas: Interviewed different types of user

The user testing of this prototype was done, the user founded it easy and reached to the required information with out consulting
