DESCRIPTION

K CRETE NP is based on processed lignosulphonates and is supplied as a brown liquid. Generally cement particles tend to clump together and K CRETE NP works by improving the dispersion of the agglomerates with in the concrete mix which ensures that the cement is used more efficiently.

USE IN CONCRETE

K CRETE NP is low cost water reducer which can be used to get one or combination of benefits. AS A WATER REDUCER: (For increased strength) Reduction in the water cement to maintain original workability increases strength. The concrete is also denser with lower permeability. A WORKABILITY AID: Increased workability can be achieved by using K CRETE NP for a given water cement ratio which will increase the flow characteristic of the concrete leading to easy placement compaction and finishing. REDUCTION OF CEMENT CONTENT: K CRETE NP can be used to reduce cement content of the extend of 8-10% by maintaining the original strength specification and workability and reducing the water content required for the given mix.

COMPATIBILITY

K CRETE NP may be used with all types of Portland cement and high Alumina cement. It can be used in conjunction with other K MATE Admixture provided they are added separately to the concrete.

DIRECTION FOR USE

DOSAGE: K CRETE NP should be directly added to the mix preferably with the mixing water. The optimum dosage rate should be determined by site trails. The dosage rate is 150ml to 300ml per 50kg. Cement for large site jobs, dispensing equipment can be made use of

OVER DOSING:

Dosages unto 300ml/50kg have no deterious effect but above this level retardation will occur and may result in slight strength loss if no water reduction is made. TYPICAL PROPERTIES: COLOUR; Brown. SHELF LIFE

WATER REDUCING AIR ENTRAINING AGENT

DESCRIPTION

KCRETE AE acts at the interface of the cement-aggregate particles and mixing water to produce microscopic air bubbles evenly distributed throughout the concrete. The entrained air bubbles are of the optimum Diameter and spacing to give durability under freeze-thaw or salt attack conditions whilst enhancing lubrication during placing.

KCRETE AE complies with IS-9103-1999, Increased durability: Improved workability increase compaction whilst the controlled air entrainment considerably enhances resistance to attack by frost or salts by reduction of initial surface absorption of hardened concrete.

USES

• Increase the resistance of concrete to damage by sea water, frost and de-icing salts and also makes concrete structures less prone to cracking.

• Reduces the permeability of low cement content for mass pours such as dams and breakwaters.

• Is an ideal pumping aid to maintain cohesiveness and minimize segregation where concrete is placed mechanically?

Where KCRETE AE is used in an existing mix design, the cement and aggregate proportions should be adjusted to take into account the increase in yield. The sand content can normally be reduced by about 20 kg/m for each additional 1% of air entrained.

DOSAGE

The optimum dosage is best determined by site trials with the actual concrete mix which enables the effect of workability and air content to be measured. The rate of addition is generally within the range 100 ml to 300 ml KCRETE AE per 50 kg. cement according to the air content required. A dosage of 150 ml to 50 kg cement is normally sufficient to obtain 5% air entrainment.

SHELF LIFE

12 months storage life when stored in original unopened container at between 5 ºC to 45 ºC in a dry and shaded place.

HEALTH & SAFETY

KCRETE AE is non-hazardous. It should not be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin or eyes. Suitable protective goggles and gloves should be worn. In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately, do not induce vomiting.

The powerful dispering action of superplasticiser can be used in many ways to obtain dense, high strength durable concrete (M35, M40 and M45). The high water reduction upto 30% make K CRETE SPA ideal for use in precast concrete where high early strength are of paramount importance. K CRETE SPA is chloride free.

INCREASED WORKABILITY: K CRETE SPA when incorporated in concrete mixes increases the workability without addition of water; thus leading to easy placement and finishing without the risk of segregation and bleeding.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Substrates preparation :

The windscreen has to be treated as follows :

• on raw glass, clean with the degreaser SAPOCOL 1001 and then apply the primer SAPOCOL 2001 BLACK.

• on ceramic frit glass, degrease with ethanol and then apply EMFIPRIM 34022A or 34027A.

• on encapsulated windscreen, degrease with methylethylketone (MEK) or acétone (do not use alcohol) and then apply EMFIPRIM 34025A.

• on windscreen coated with a primer, degrease with MEK or acetone.• Never clean the old sealant with a solution containing alcohol.

Bonding :

When the primer is dry, the sealant K 5 POLYSEAL GL is applied with a pneumatic or a hand gun, or a robot. In order to develop its full mechanical properties, the product must be

applied at a temperature between 5 and 35 °C. The shape of the joint is given by the nozzle.

The glass coated with the sealant must be applied and pressed on the second substrate before the end of the tack free time. Take care that this time (which decreases when temperature increases) is not exceeded. Avoid any contact with non-cured MS, hybrid PU or silicone sealants as well as with alcohols or ammonia during curing.

Cleaning :

Tools can be cleaned with EMFINET 683, xylene, MEK or acetone before curing.After curing, mechanical cleaning is required.

K PLAST IPWATERPROOF PLASTER ADDITIVE

DESCRIPTION

KPLAST IP is supplied as ready to use powder which should be dry mix in mortar. It introduces air into mortar in the form of extremely fine and evenly dispersed bubbles. This entrained air imparts improved workability which, due to the stability of the tiny bubbles, prevents premature stiffening and avoids the need for repeated "knocking up". In the hardened mortar these minute bubbles provide a cautionary effect in screeds or renders. Capillary channels are also made discontinuous by the formation of the bubbles, thus reducing the penetration of water.LIME MIXES : Addition of lime to cement mortar mix to improve plasticity can be completely omitted and replacement should be made with KPLAST IP very economically

BENEFITS

USES

To accelerate the setting and early strength gain of Portland cement concrete and mortar mixes without the introduction of chloride. Acts as a plasticiser, so gives significant increases in both ultimate and early strengths. Typical applications include precast concrete, concrete placed in cold weather, concrete for repairs, mortars for brickwork.

DESCRIPTION

FAIRCRETE NC is a chloride free plasticiser to accelerate the strength in the concrete which is ideally useful for cold weather. Gives additional frost protection by reducing the water content and accelerating hydration of cement.

PACKING

• FAIRCRETE NC is supplied in 1 ltr., 5 ltr., 10 ltr., 50 ltr., & 100 ltr.

DOSAGE

• The recommended dosage range for standard concrete and mortar mixes with all grades of Portland cement is 1 to 2 litres per 50 kg cement. Exact dosage canbe determine by site trials.

PROPERTIES

• Specific gravity : 1.25 at 300C ; Calcium chloride content : Nill to BS 5075 ; Air entrainment : Less than 1%.

• Compatibility with cements : May be used with all types of Portland cements. Not suitable for use with high Alumina cement. Acceleration : The addition of FAIRCRETE NC to portland cement concrete mixer accelerates both the setting and strength gain. The strength improvments are most significant during the first 18 hours.

• Long Term Effects : Accelerated corrosion testing of steel in concrete has shown that FAIRCRETE NC does not attect the protection of steel against corrosion even at four times the normal does level.

• Mixing : FAIRCRETE NC should be stirred well before use.Overdosage : An overdose of double the recommended amount of FAIRCRETE NC will result in excessive acceleration.

• Dispensing : The correct quantity of FAIRCRETE NC should be measured by means of a recommended dispenser. The company's technical department should be consulted regarding suitable equipment and its installation. FAIRCRETE NC should be added direct into the mixer. Best results are obtained when added at the same time as the mixing water.

• Curing : A concrete curing membrane should be used, or alternative methods such as polythene, water spray or wet hessian.

• Cleaning : Spillages of FAIRCRETE NC can be removed with water.

STANDARD

• FAIRCRETE NC complies with BS 5075 Part 1 and ASTM C 494 Type C.

SHELF LIFE

• Minimum shelf life of 12 months provided the temperature has not exceeded 20C to 500C.

HEALTH & SAFETY

FAIRCRETE NC is toxic. Do not ingest. If ingested, give an emetic of common salt in water and seek immediate medical attention. Prolonged contact with skin should be avoided. Any splashes should be washed well with water. The use of rubber gloves and safety glasses is recommended. Any splashes to eyes should be flushed immediately with plenty of clean water and medical treatment sought.

K CRETE SPR 14 is a high range water reducing agent and retarding admixture for concrete

K CRETE SPR 14 is supplied as brown liquid based on modified sulphonated Nepthalene slump retainer Plasticiser. The powerful dispersing agent of the high range water reducing super plasticizer can be used in many ways to obtain dense, high strength durable concrete (M35, M40, M45 M50). The high water reduction properties makes of K CRETE SPR 14 an ideal application in precast concrete where high early strength is of paramount importance. K CRETE SPR 14 is chloride free.

INCREASES WORKABILITY : K CRETE SPR 14 when incorporated in concrete mixes increases the workability without the risk of segregation and bleeding. K CRETE SPR 14 also retains the slump for much longer time which facilitates easy placement.

INCREASES STRENGTH : K CRETE SPR 14 can be used to reduce water content transportation and for a given workability which leads to increased early and ultimate (28 days) strength. Such a high early strength facilitates early removal of formworks.

USES

To produce high strength and flowing concrete without an additional water. Enables high water reduction to achieve high early and 28 days strength. Ideal with higher grade of concrete mix, pre stressed and precast work, pavement concrete, exposed slab concrete, mass concrete pours.
